This thunderbolt 3 male to male cable is perfect for connecting hard drives, Ultra HD displays, docks, and other Thunderbolt accessories to a computer. Please note that the 2m thunderbolt 3 cable is an active cable, so it will not work with any USB-C port, including Gen. 1, Gen. 2, etc.

In addition to connecting 4K@60Hz displays, connecting Gigabit Ethernet networks, connecting legacy USB and DisplayPort devices, and sending 15 watts of power, this Thunderbolt 3 cable has slim design and can be mounted on a desk.

Thunderbolt 3 cable provides data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbps and rapid charging speeds up to 100 W. It supports data transfers twice as fast as Thunderbolt 2 and eight times as fast as A cable with a 0 volt output.

The Thunderbolt 3 docking station or PCIe expansion box needs to be connected. With this cable, you can connect your Thunderbolt 3-enabled devices to any Thunderbolt 3 compatible device.

There is a risk of breaking this cable, so This is a cheaper option for an actual Thunderbolt 3 cable, but the one I received was fragile, so if you're looking for a cable to be connected to a device that will move around a lot, this might not be your best option

My intention was to run my computer screen up to my TV, I won't be able to move the computer around if it is static plugged in in one spot. I bought this with the intention of allowing me to sit back on the couch and view my computer screen from my TV. My Thunderbolt 3 connection shorts out when I move the wrong way, causing the hub to have to restart. It began to kink soon after joining the computer with the head, and moving incorrectly caused it to short out. I have to assume it's the cable since it only occurs when I move the computer, and I can see clearly where the cable is twisted within.

Could it be that a wrong product was sent, or that the thunderbolt 2 connector was mistaken for the mini DisplayPort connector given that both are the same size/shape? It won't even recognise a thunderbolt 2 cable, let alone transfer any files. Although it is a genuine thunderbolt 2 cable, it isn't going to keep up with my brand new imac or MacBook Pro.

I find it strange that the price of so many TB2 accessories is going up wonder if there is no new product being manufactured because the supply is becoming low. In any case, this does what it's supposed to do, and the price is fairly reasonable (comparatively). As the price of this device keeps rising, you should buy one now.
