Could a Nintendo 64 Game Shark be used with this?

The game machines I do not know anything about, but if the connector of the game machine is the same as the connection for the DB25 (male) then it should work except one thing. I run different computers, running 64 bit and 32 bit versions of Windows 7 and 10 depending on which computer I'm using. This is why the computer I plug into the USB into has to recognize what game (or machine) I'm playing. It is not my intention to try to hook it up to Linux, but it might be more versatile. However, I am not an expert on how such a thing is done.

How does it work with Windows ?

If Windows 10 comes with the driver software for your printer, then yes. It took me a while to download the driver for my 2002 vintage printer

Using the HP LaserJet 5 printer over an extended period of time
5/5

We are very pleased with the product. As a result of exceeding "Excel's Format Limit", I was having Excel crashes on my PC and Windows XP operating system plus Microsoft Office 2003. I upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010 to resolve the issue However, computers have only USB 1, 2, and 3, and no longer have a Parallel Input/Output Connection There are three others as well, but no parallel port. It is not possible to use a USB 2 device with Windows 7 as no drivers are included by default. In the IEEE 0 to IEEE 1 range An adapter cable for the 1284 parallel printer A driver of this type is not available from HP. As a matter of fact, I've been using this product (and there is an included driver) for months, and I've had no problems. It is essential that you read the instructions on the CD to learn how to properly install both the "Cable" and "Driver. " It is imperative that you follow a "Specific Sequence" when installing the cable, turning on the parallel port device, and installing the driver. Drivers are included for a variety of applications with this product You can now use your Parallel Port Device again with Windows 7 if you read the instructions. The only way you can get this for Windows 8 is to contact the manufacturer to ask whether there is a "downgrade" You can load the drivers on your computer once you buy this cable and include the drivers.

When using with a laptop, the adapter performs very well, but using it with Windows is problematic
5/5

I've been using this with an old HP LaserJet 4 that I refurbished myself for the last few months. In my experience, it works very well as long as you don't have to plug it in and activate it Take the thing out of the socket. my laptop and every time I plug it back in, the first print job messes up about 7 out of 10 times, printing up to a hundred pages of one-line This is not the fault of the cables rather, it's the stupid Windows 8 system. This printer has just one! Therefore, every time I remove its power and plug it in to see if it is working properly, I must turn on the printer, reboot the laptop, wait for both to work, then I can use it on my laptop. The gibberish starts if the print job is already running. I then cancel the print job, restart the computer, print a test page, if the test page is fine, I continue printing. Additionally, I store all my print jobs in the queue so that I can just retry those jobs in the event of an error. Once I am done with the job and it is successful, I then delete them from the queue. Please note

There is no problem with the adapter. Windows 8 is running fine. The print queue in 1's computer causes the problem!.

You can do it! As a user of an older HP laser printer who bought a new computer without a parallel printer port, I bought this driver to use with the printer
5/5

However, in testing a USB to Parallel cable, it was unable to I searched online for answers to the question of how to get my older printer to work with my newer computer when the more modern cable stopped working. I discovered that my printer would not work with my particular type of cable, but it would work with generic cables? My printer has been a nice printer for 15 years, and I didn't want to toss it away just because it is 15 years old, so I thought, what the heck, do I. I'll try the generic cable and let you know if it doesn't work. I got the darn thing to work! Despite the fact that I don't understand why the generic cable worked when the name brand wouldn't, it works so I don't really.

I find it to work perfectly
4/5

When I had some time to think The scratching continues. In the first place, it arrived very quickly from Amazon since it was delivered for free. This USB device was immediately recognized by my PC when I entered it. As far as my printer is concerned, I did not connect the Centronics connector until I was sure the PC was happy with just the device. I have never had any problems directly related to this device, and once I got over one hump, my printer performs flawlessly. I only gave this an if because of the four sources of information provided Rather than 5 stars, it is a 3 star rating because there is no guidance or literature provided. None at all! This wouldn't have been a problem if it had been an easy plug-and-play operation, but it wasn't like that at all. I have always had my computer (Win XP) print to port LPT1 by default. However, I discovered that it was not connected to anything when I switched to the new cable, yet it kept trying to print to the port. There was no intuitive way to know that you could print to a different port. It took me about 30 minutes to an hour to figure out how to redirect the printing to this device. I am not very computer-savvy. Skilled. It took me a little bit of fumbling before I figured out what to do and how it worked. It took me no time to fix the problem once I switched printing to this new port. It would have been very helpful and appreciated to have just a little printed guidance or a web reference. It would have helped a great deal if there had been a few clues. Anyone who is unaware of how computers work would need help to use this device, although there is no telephone number or web reference for any kind of manufacturer or distributor contact or support. I would recommend this to anyone, but warn that they might need It is suggested that the card in the blister pack certifies this as only compatible with Win XP machines, so it is not clear whether it is further certified for Win 7. Can it be that the card is out of date or that it is really only rated for Windows.

It was easy to create a virtual printer port with Plug-and-Play
5/5

It required a USB to parallel port converter and StarTech's 6 ft. cable. An IEEE-certified company In the year 1284, there were 1284 days. A Male/A Male In this case, the USB to Centronics cable worked without a hitch after I assigned my old HP Laser Jet to the virtual printer port. It is not unheard of for this kind of thing to get complicated, but in this case it did not.
