As I needed this for my 8 and 4 pin processor, I needed this power connector. I have a single 8 pin connector on my PSU, but this splits into two, which can also be split into four and four pins. It's nice to hide the wiring behind the sheathing. The only other one available that was fast shipping, had the sheathing, AND the splitting with 4+4 (2x) was not available to me. Please be aware.
A 4 pin and an 8 pin EPS power connection is included on the ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wi-Fi, but the ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi can also run without the 4 pin connector. Powering up the computer is not a problem and my son is happy with his computer upgrade.
It is essential to have two CPU power connectors on a PC motherboard, such as the MSI X470 Pro Carbon Gaming Motherboard. Why is there a second CPU power connector on such a motherboard? There is one for CPU power and another for memory Having the other on hand is necessary for other purposes. We do not know exactly what will be announced. However, I used this Y adapter anyway, even though the motherboard owner's manual does not mention it.
This approach works as described if you need to split off additional power to another CPU header. It is rare for power supplies to have more than two connections for CPU power. With the EVGA SR-series The third recommendation involves the use of all four. You may want to check your power supply and ensure that you have enough power on the rail.
As a result of removing the power supply innards from a G5 case and replacing it with a Corsair SFX, I needed two extra EPSs to run my dual socket Ivy Bridge Hackintosh. Powered by that little Corsair 600 and this, it keeps everything running smoothly.
During the last two years, PCs have needed an 8 + 4 Power supply plug to the board where the CPU is located. The 8 plug is the most common plug on power supplies. Therefore, I needed a cord that would split, and this cord did the trick. I would definitely buy from this store.
The description says it all. It is great to use them. While a little more expensive, the quality is much better and it looks nicer than some alternatives.
