If you don't have a working keyboard and trackpad consider adding this. Working with the right tools and a little time is all it takes. Yes, I do.
Take a look at a YouTube video To do this properly, it's a good idea to have a toolkit! Normally I am not one to handle computer repairs*, but I find that the right tools and solutions can make a big difference The YouTube app is working great on my MacBook Air!.
It works as expected. When I had problems with the keyboard and overheating, I replaced the trackpad, which resolved the problem for me.
It is true that the product description accurately describes the touchpad and it fits my laptop perfectly. The overall experience with this touchpad is nothing like a genuine apple touch pad. I expected it to feel like a brand new laptop, but for some reason I do not get the same haptic feedback. My experience with other touchpads in the 50$ price range is limited, so I can't compare with others, and I still wonder if it's worth buying an original Apple touchpad for a 5 year old MacBook that could cost you more than 100 dollars. I repeat myself. The touchpad works as intended, however I find that the haptic feedback isn't as good as on the original Apple touchpad (the touchpad also appears to be 5 years old like my laptop).
