It is very difficult to re-create The keyboard cable needs to be inserted
3/5

A touch pad like this looked remarkably similar to the original on my macbook air that I replaced. As a result, the gap between this touch pad is just a bit wider than the original, which is not perfect, There are special tools required to remove and install the touch pad, which you can buy on Amazon as well. Incredibly, there is only one complaint I have about the touch pad the slot for inserting the keyboard cable is much narrower than on As far as I am concerned, I don't mind pulling out and retaking a test While it was easy to connect the keyboard cable to the original, it was challenging connecting it to the new one (in contrast, the cable for the BT was easy to connect to). There is a possibility that I damaged the cable to the point where one of the shift keys does not work.

I found the solution to the keyboard and touchpad One of the keys on the keyboard popped off, so the kyboard had to be replaced
5/5

I lost the ability to use my touchpad and keyboard once I did this. replaced the touchpad after trying a bunch of other things and nothing seemed to fix the problem. I found it to be a great tool. The old Apple feel is still there. You're doing a wonderful job.

A1466 was a direct replacement for click, but didn't work
4/5

You will need to purchase the flex cable separately since this does not come with it. Designed as a direct replacement for the stock trackpad on the 2013 Air (mine was You will need to remove the back cover, unplug the battery from the mobo, remove the battery (5 screws), and then remove the 5 screws that hold the trackpad in place. I have no problem with it. The star was originally one, but it was removed because clicking didn't Although I had voltage on the pin that is responsible for trackpad clicks, I was still unable to click the trackball. The rest of the process went smoothly.
