I'm using my M1 MacBook Pro and it appears to work well. Honestly, I haven't tried it on my iPad, but my guess is that
There is a battery requirement for this item. It takes batteries a long time to discharge
The mouse can also be connected if it is connected to a computer.
You may not have enough desktop space to drag and drop horizontally if you have a small screen. You can do this much more easily with a trackpad. There are a few buttons on the track that do one, two, and three finger movements, which make a lot of things convenient to use.

As it happened, I was having some problems with one of the older magic mice I had and it was the perfect time to replace it with a track pad (I'd been wanting one for some time so it was even better). As an amateur photographer, I have also used some graphic editing software recently. As a result, drawing with a mouse is pretty challenging. Photo editing with a mouse is not so bad but using a track pad for both photo editing and graphic design is a really good choice. One limitation of the track pad is the speed, which isn't so adjustable. I have one complaint I can't use Google Maps with it. There is no easy way to enter the street view since you need to press (click) and drag. One finger is not enough to accomplish it since it is like a two-step process. My best attempt has been to use two fingers, but that only sometimes works. Therefore, I find it to be overall pleasing. As a result, space is not taken up as much. It is necessary for the mouse to move all over the screen You move your finger on the pad while the track pad stays stationary, and moving over that area is a pretty small space.
This is a used or refurbished item that looks and works like a brand new product. I had no problems with mine. I was able to use the trackpad as an administrator. It was a good deal for me and I'm happy with the quality. The way Amazon bundles reviews for similar items over individual reviews does not appeal to me.
Hello, I hope someone from customer support can assist me so that I can update my review on this seller. This is my 5th or 6th of these devices. They are great although the one I purchased on 06AUG18 now 12SEP18 has a trackpad that won't stay on longer than it takes to pair. Does anyone have any suggestions?.
There is not nearly as good battery life as a Logitech Mouse, I changed the batteries twice already while I've had this a few months. Although it does not have many options until the magic trackpad 2 is available (it's coming soon), the price is not too bad for a nice touchpad. When I am using an XPS 15, I get random drops in connectivity about every other day or so. However, I will not put the blame on the trackpad.
While I had expected the trackpad to operate like that of my Macbook laptop, it was not as touch friendly when I wanted to click and had to click on the bottom and not anywhere else.
Although this is a reconditioned item, I can't tell it apart from a brand new item. Nothing is scratched or marked on it, absolutely no wear has been observed.
I bought the trackpad in January and I've been using it nearly every day since then. It hooked up without effort. It makes sense to save a few dollars and buy this item as a reconditioned one rather than a new one.
With this trackpad I am able to use a wireless keyboard and support a Mac Air in a vertical stand, which allows me to save space and to move around the desk space as needed. My set up has been enhanced by this device, even if it isn't quite as responsive as the Mac's trackpad.
My only wish is that Apple would continue to use this first generation design so those with early iMacs would have this wonderful feature.
