first bought it so that my kids could play with it and doodle with it. since I have enjoyed playing with it myself so much, I have been passing it around to others. My mind immediately goes to the old etch and sketch toy from my childhood. This time, the flat screen variety and flexible styles would be better. This drawing board is a complete family tool. I was impressed by the "easy to use" features. It comes with a magnetic base. As this is a multicolored drawing, it looks great. Since it is so light, my little daughter can take it anywhere she wants and is easily able to learn the alphabets. I use this to help my son with his quick arts. In order to prepare a quick purchasing list, "lock it" and snap it, we use it. (We will have to get one for him too. )
