The "PRO" device is a helpful tool. Every product with the word "PRO" in its name nowadays exudes a sense of luxury and performance. It used to refer to a tool that was only available to professionals who used it. The Kamvas Pro 16 is a combination of luxury and performance at an affordable price point. This is by far the best and most comfortable Huion tablet experience I've ever had. br>br>This is by far the best and most comfortable Huion tablet experience I've ever had. Right now, I'm using the Kamvas GT- I really like the 156HD v2 for what it is. It's not ideal, but it gets the job done. I needed to come up with a few workarounds so that the minor flaws in it didn't disrupt my workflow. Having said that, the Kamvas Pro 16 is unquestionably an improvement. br> br>At first, I considered upgrading to the Wacom Cintiq 16. That's a great price for a Wacom product, which has always been around the $1000 mark for their pen displays. Huion consistently undercuts Wacom by a significant margin, allowing budget-conscious customers to purchase their products. Customers who are price-conscious may wonder if Wacom is still worth getting or if they should just get this budget-friendly option. Option that is friendly. Having said that, the Kamvas Pro 16 is a strong contender. The color of the display is excellent right out of the box. I tried to fix it, but I ended up making things worse. The brightness and contrast are excellent right away. If I need more brightness, I can always adjust the backlight. br> br>The stylus, in my opinion, is the best part. It's BATTERY TIME NOW! FREE! Never again will you forget to charge your phone! I can immediately pick it up and start working on it. Small strokes now register quickly and do not clump like they did with the GT156HDv2. I'm not sure if it's a driver issue, but I'm glad it's no longer an issue for me. Although there is still a problem with accuracy, I'm left with- It's possible that it's because I'm left-handed. At random, it also returns to the default calibration. However, this can only be done in Photoshop. It's most likely due to the fact that I have Windows Ink turned off. It's a lot of fun to draw and paint on. To date, I believe it is the closest match to Wacom. The laminated screen is a little too smooth, but it's not a deal breaker. br> br>Another thing that impressed me was Huion's consideration of the USB-C port. C connector and shaped it into an "L" to prevent it from stressing out when tugged. The UX designer in me gets giddy over these small details. br>br>What are you waiting for if you have $500? This pen will most likely be used. display for an extended period of time.
Because it was less expensive than Wacom's products, I purchased it as well. I thought if I had any problems, I'd just email support and they'd take care of it, right? That's exactly what I did, except there was no way to fix it. br>To begin, I'd like to comment on the excellent screen quality. But my problems include a variety of cursor offset issues, such as when I tilt the pen, the cursor straying away from the pen every time I make a stroke, and more. This tablet has been in my possession for about two months. The first week I had it, I emailed support. I haven't found a solution yet. br>br>The first time I emailed them, they asked me to record the problem. I made a video and sent it to them because it seemed reasonable. They responded by requesting that I update my drivers, which I had already done. When I told them, they asked for detailed instructions on how to install the driver, which I gave them. I followed their instructions to reinstall the driver, but the problems persisted, so I sent them an email to inform them that nothing had changed. They then request that I record myself uninstalling and installing the software. After that, I was asked to record myself experimenting with both default and custom calibration settings. It was exhausting at this point, but I persevered, and all I got in return was an email that said something along the lines of "Sorry about your problems, we'll look into it and get back to you, hope you have a great day!" I have yet to receive a response to my last email, which was sent over a month ago. br>br>I've continued to use the tablet since then, but it now feels like I'm constantly battling with it to get it to do what I want it to do. It's nearly impossible to draw any kind of detail at all. It's exhausting, and because I'm constantly drawing at odd angles to accommodate the broken offset, my wrist begins to hurt before I've even started drawing for half an hour. For the sake of my own health, I'm forced to use pen and paper. At the very least, it serves as a backup monitor that can't even stand up straight, right?
EDIT: So, following a series of additional e-mails, They have confirmed that the issue is with the pen itself in emails. They offered to send me a new one if I paid the shipping costs (which I understand), but after waiting a month, it turns out they sent it to the wrong country. I'm currently awaiting Huion's response. I'm perplexed, to be honest. This is a disaster.
br>br>The colors on this display also impressed me; they were very accurate, and the screen was matte, so there was no glare (thank you!). Oh, and the controls on the side are incredible! To me, the touch slider is the most important feature here because it allows me to quickly change the size of my brush in Photoshop. Because of the side buttons, I can actually get rid of my keyboard completely. Ctrl Z is no longer in use. If you travel a lot, this will be your best friend because it's ultra slim and the included stand folds up to match. Speaking of the stand, it's quite nice; it's made of aluminum and feels solid, and it provides a variety of drawing angles. The stand could be a little bigger, but that's a minor quibble. Overall, if you're on the fence like I was about buying it because of the lack of reviews, don't be! It's a fantastic way to get started with digital art, and I'd even say it's suitable for professional artists.
