Questions & Answers

Is it possible to achieve the same effect with my leaf blower?

No, I do not believe that is true. Despite the fact that they are both blowers, leaf blowers produce blowing that is spread out over a much larger area. The computer cleaner is much more concentrated when it comes to blowing inches and is much more forceful where the air hits.

Is this merely a fan or does it also vacuum?

All you need is a Blower.

Can I use it to clean the air filters in my car?

You could, but keep in mind that if you get too close to your filter material, the forced air could rip it. First, see if it works on an older one.

Why is it called "Vac" if it's just a "blower"?

The name "Vac" is derived from the company's name, not from the products.

The duster is extremely powerful
5/5

This was purchased to remove dust from the inside of my computer. It's a huge beast that does a fantastic job, far better than any canned air spray I've ever used. Advantages: br>br>
- Doesn't get stuck in the icebr>- It doesn't have that annoying little straw that gets caught in things. br>- It is not required to be used in a two-person situation. 3 second increments, implying that the entire process can be completed quicklybr>- It includes a number of useful attachments. br>- The blower's attachments are held in place by a spring-loaded mechanism. When you turn on the air current, you don't have to worry about accidentally turning an attachment into a space rocket because the button is loaded. br>- Blows a much stronger air current than canned airbr>- Has a plug, so you won't have to worry about charging or replacing a battery. br>- For easy access, the on/off button is placed where your thumb would naturally rest. br>- There didn't seem to be any static that I could see. br>- It didn't have a chemical odor when I first used it, contrary to some reviews. If yours does, it's time to replace it. br>br>Cons:
- It has a tendency to overheat, but it takes a long time for it to get hot, and you'll almost certainly be done by then. br>- A right-handed person's thumb is close to the on/off button. a right-handed person rather than a left-handed person a person with a left handbr>- Is more obnoxious than my vacuum cleanerbr>- It must be plugged in, which for some people may be inconvenient depending on how their computer and wall outlets are set up.

Make sure your toupees are secure, and all of the ladies in dresses should be wearing underwear
4/5

I needed to clean out my computer and keyboard today, and this thing got the job done in under a minute. It had a tremendous amount of power and was extremely simple to operate. It's as simple as plugging it in and pressing a single button. Though I had some trouble getting the nozzle on at first, now that it's on, I won't have to worry about it again because I won't need to remove it. I won't be using the other attachments because I tried the keyboard cleaning attachment and found that it restricted air flow too much for optimal cleaning. There is a vent with a foam filter on the underside of the electric duster, and you can feel air circulating through it while the device is powered on, so I believe mine may have a defect of some sort. So no one misunderstands what I'm talking about when I say this, I described it. My duster has some air leakage from the seams of the upper body of the device (above the label, and above the screws that hold the two parts of the device together) when it is turned on. While using this device, I can feel a fair amount of air hitting my hand from this location on a regular basis; I'm not sure if this is normal for the operation of the duster; However, despite this, it appears to function normally. I was going to get a cheaper duster, but most of the reviews said that if you use it for more than a minute or two, it will get too hot. This duster did not get hot while I was using it; I could feel warmth emanating from it, but the temperature was always pleasant. It has some weight to it, but it is manageable.

Negative reviews are a load of nonsense
5/5

This is an incredible device. It's a huge air compressor. There will be no need for an air can in the future. Finally, my computer can take a deep breath. br>br>All the negative feedback is ridiculous. People complain that it lacks the power of a commercial air compressor. If your computer is that filthy, you should thoroughly clean it. Brushes should be used when dirt is really caked on, such as on fan blades and heat fins. Alternatively, they may complain that they received a defective unit and did not bother to return it for a working replacement.

As if it were a sieve, it leaks like crazy
3/5

It was a huge letdown. When I first opened the box, I was ecstatic because everything seemed to be in good working order. made - A strong motor is indicated by the thick metal, good enamel coating, and heft. Regrettably, more air emerged from the seam than from the nozzle. I wanted to return it right away, but I had some electronics to clean at the time. So I opened it and made a sort of gasket inside with duct tape, then duct taped the outside, which worked for about a week before the air blew through the duct tape. It's pretty much useless now. I suppose I'll have to go back to compressed air in a can.

It's strong, but it's not without flaws
3/5

First and foremost, this is a VERY powerful device. I'm almost afraid it's too powerful for a lot of PC cleaning applications. If I went with DataVac's ED-100, I think I'd be more confident that I wouldn't blow the keycaps off my keyboard. The 500PV is essentially the same device as the 500PV, but it has variable speed control. The pivotal moment- for me, the trade-offs The device's seam has a slight air leak, which, based on other reviews, could indicate that it will lose significant air pressure in the future. The micro-environment Attachments for cleaning keyboards and other items come with a warning that the device may overheat and shut down while in use, and in my experience, the device heats up very quickly with these attachments, so that's a problem. It's also a bit of a let-down with the warranty. You'll have to pay for shipping to have the device serviced if it breaks down. br>br>It's difficult to recommend this product with these considerations in mind, though I am enjoying it right now, and others may not consider these to be significant issues depending on their application.

The situation isn't ideal
3/5

It's not powerful enough to blow dust off case fans and radiators for water cooling; I still have to brush it to get it dust-free. If you just want to reduce the amount of dust in your system, this will suffice; however, it won't make your system dust-free.

This is a wise purchase
5/5

When moving computer components from one case to another, this tool comes in handy. The dust was mostly removed, but a small amount of fine dust remained, which was easily wiped away with a finger or a microfiber cloth. It's as loud as a vacuum cleaner. The sticker price appears to be a little high, but it will save you money over buying canned air and avoid the condensation that canned air can cause. The metal body is heavy and sturdy, and it reminds me of things built 50 years ago that were built to last. The plastic attachments connect and disconnect easily, and they seem to stay in place just fine.
