I don't notice the cooling gel pads as my ears can get warm, but that's not really a problem with how snug they fit to eliminate outside noise. There are 14 ounces in weight, so they feel beefy, but are not so heavy on your head that you feel like you have to wear them constantly. Having previously owned Astro A40s, Plantronics RIGs, Clouds, and a few others, I find these to be superior just in terms of features. You can hear the Xbox game audio as well as the mix amp on your phone. The wheel mapping and button mapping are awesome, and if you're browsing your phone between matches, you can listen to the Xbox game audio as well. If you have glasses and have a HOT head like me, these earcups are perfect for you. They are some of the most comfortable I have ever used. It's no surprise that they sound great, I expect no less from turtlebeach and the all black looks just perfect! could go on and on about how fantastic these are and how well worth the $50 price over the 600s turtle beach is definitely back on top with these I cannot I gave you a 10/10, it was nearly flawless!.

Seeing these were coming out, I decided to check them out since my Turtle Beach AX420s were getting a little worn. One of my friends has a 700s of the first generation with random cracking and audio distortion and thought a 700s of the second generation would solve the problem. I'm not interested! As soon as I got them out of the box, I had to comment on how comfortable they are It is very soft, sinking right into your skin and I connected them to XBox and started playing right away. Mic issues are the first thing you have to deal with. Generally, everyone in party chat told me that if I talk louder than a whisper, the audio will be distorted and I won't be able to hear you. Adjusted the boom so that it is positioned right before the automatic waypoint If I ever mute the speaker or talk normally, the cut outs take place, but anything louder than that causes the same issues because it is too loud This is stimulating. As we moved past the microphone, it became clear that there was something about this series that made it easy for outside wireless devices to interfere. Xbox and my router are over 10 feet apart, and my chair is a considerable distance away from my router. There was intermittent audio distortion (cracking and popping) that ruined the sound from the party chat and game at the same time. My buddy told me that Turtle Beach Customer Support told him to move the router further away and try it again, just like they used to tell me with the old series. There should be no need for anyone to pay so much for a headset they have to rearrange their house in order to use it. 2 days later, returned to the hotel.
