First and foremost, this is by far the best headset I've ever owned. The sound is excellent, the microphone is in excellent working order and includes a free windscreen, and the ear pads are extremely comfortable, with an extra set of velvet ear pads included. However, the microphone will be defective when it arrives, and you will need to take action to rectify the situation and return the headset to working order. The headset ships with firmware version 0030 by default, which includes a microphone-enabled feature. a glitch that is causing problems To use the microphone on this headset, go to the HyperX Cloud II headset's official download page and download the latest version, 0010. I'm not sure why the number is lower or why they don't ship them with it preinstalled, but for me, this was an IMMEDIATE solution, so keep that in mind before purchasing these.

The headsets are, first and foremost, extremely comfortable. I'd be able to wear them all day if I wanted to. They sound great, but Xbox users should be aware that there is a catch: The number seven cannot be used. 1 Surround Sound USB card, which I discovered is "incompatible" with the Xbox after a brief conversation with customer service (who was very nice). It would have been nice to know that beforehand! "Compatible with PC, PS4, Xbox One, and other. . " says the description. ” No! It does not function in the same way! The headphones will still work, but not as well as they did before.

They were fantastic headphones until the jack developed a short. To get them to work, I had to hold the wire at the perfect angle. Given that these are $100 headphones, I am very disappointed in the wire's durability. I've had cheaper USB cables that were more durable. I'm not going to buy any more HyperX products because of this design flaw.

Later on, if something noteworthy comes up, I will update this review. br>br>Backgroundbr>I am an audiophile, and I am getting older, so my hearing isn't as good as it once was. However, I've always had a very high standard of living. top-of-the-line stereo system, as well as the best headphones available. I also enjoy playing video games on my computer. They are extremely comfortable: br>Fit and qualitybr> They're snug but not overly so. If you wear glasses, the temple pieces will be barely noticeable, if at all. The leather pads are soft and mold well to your ears, effectively isolating you from any background noise in your home. A spare set of foam pads is included to replace the leather pads. If you'd like something even softer, you can use these. br>My head is a little bigger than most people's. I'm a 7-year-old girl who likes to dress up. I wear a baseball cap in the last one or two adjustment holes, and my hat size is 1/4. When you tilt your head back or forward, the phones don't fall off, and they (feel) very light on your head, so your ears don't get sweaty and hot after three or four hours of gaming. Because they breathe well, moisture does not collect; I live in Hawaii, so I am a good test case. br>The material used is of excellent quality. The ear cups are made of anodized steel, leather pads for the ears and headband, and a hard plastic shell with solid attachment points. The only flaw in the design is the wiring to the ear cups. While it is securely fastened, it is possible to accidentally hook one of the wires and damage the connection. Of course, this is an unlikely scenario. They're also popular with my wife, who appreciates the oval shape of the cups, which allows her to wear her earrings. You guys with big ears and earrings, especially those big suckers, might be out of luck. br>br>Soundbr>They sound fantastic, and the isolation allows you to hear every detail of the soundtrack. For PC setup, there is a straightforward procedure to follow. Set up for 7 in the control panel of your sound app. 1 that comes with the package. In terms of "Virtual Sound," I'm not sure what the difference is between that and what stereo provides. Things to the left, right, and center can be heard while gaming. These were purchased to replace my old Logitech G430s. They were getting old and hurting my head if I wore them for more than two hours at a time, but these Cloud IIs have been fantastic so far. They are extremely comfortable, and the sound quality is excellent for the purposes for which I use them (gaming, discord chat with friends). Advantages: br>br>
- My head is well-supported by the soft foam. br>- Can be worn for long periods of time without giving you a headachebr>- The sound is crystal clear and ideal for 360-degree hearingbr>- My friends tell me that the mic is well-made and crystal clear, and that it does not pick up stray sounds in the room. It won't pick up if I try to talk through it from more than a foot or two away.
- Maybe this is a disadvantage, but with these on, I can't hear much else. They completely engross me in whatever I'm doing, much to my SO's chagrin. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- When I try to move my desk chair around, the cable gets in the way. br>- There hasn't been anything else that has happened to me so far. br>br>If/when these wear out, I'll buy another set. I've never had a better headset in my life.
