You need to get rid of this router immediately! I guess it was not as fast as the other routers and it was not an upgrade. There are no really fast speeds and unless you are a computer expert, this unit will be a huge After trying for over 3 months to get this router to work as advertised, I have finally given up. One week later, I was once again unable to operate this router, as it went back to extremely slow speeds. There is no need to contact support, as it was a total waste of time. My efforts to fix it and tweak it have just end up making it more and more frustrating. I was not able to plug and play with this router. My guess is that even an experienced user will not be able to get this thing to work efficiently. I would advise you to stay away If you do the same thing as I did, you'll send the purchases back or you'll regret them too.
The product did not live up to its advertised hype. I agree in whole with 2 or more reviews that say this product didn't live up to what it claimed. In fairness, I purchased the product NEW, but could it remain a random problem? No, that still does not pass the test for what it claims to be about. I have tried each possible setting and still nothing works. My experience with the product has been all good, not as bad as a few others I saw. It used to be trash internet over the house, especially across the house. It was my first time using this router, and I was very happy with it, at first. I had no problem setting up and configuring it. As a side benefit, it also resolved the dropped packet issue. Our printing issues began after a few days, because of a flaw in the firewall software. A printer will suddenly fail to print because the firewall software will randomly block all printing traffic. This cannot be corrected without restarting the router, and it will occur again at one point or another. After trying to contact support for the router, I was told that it couldn't be our problem and it had to do with the printer, although this issue occurred Eventually, they decided to offer Port Forwarding as a solution.
