This is a complete scam. The people at these companies are giving me the run around. They were rude when speaking to me over the phone, and they did not honour the product I The washer and dryer were purchased as a pair. As part of the set there was a warranty. There is only one unit they are interested in covering. Those folks should be avoided at all costs.
In addition to registering my new AC unit for their extended warranty, I called today to register my 5 year warranty. My response from them was very friendly and helpful, and I was informed of everything I needed to know in the event of a unit failure. You will even be contacted by the manufacturer if you are still in the duration of the manufacturer's warranty. Considering the warranty is good for 5 years, it is relatively inexpensive.
