Questions & Answers

Are we able to use this with a fiber connection?

The place where I am right now is Melbourne, With fiber to the curb, I am able to access the internet at home. Fiber is being fed to MDF (main distribution frame) from beneath the nature strip. The NBN Co provided an NTD (network terminating device) to me, while my telco (Telstra) provided me with a wifi router. As long as I have fibre directly into my flat or premises (FTTP), the MDF would not be necessary, but I would still need a wifi router and a NTD. Tweet of the day - The AX56u is effectively connected to the Telstra router via a crossover cable. This device is only used for wireless authentication and to switch between networks. Your telco will always provide you with a configurable wifi router to connect to the NTD in Australia. Though I have not tried it, my best guess is that the RT- will work There is probably no need to use the Telstra wifi router anymore if AX56u can do the job. The NTD is the one whose connection to the NBN is established.

Are the antennas on the ASUS rt-ax56u ax1800 removable?

My AX56U is completely wired, so its antennas cannot be removed. I don't know which router you are referring to, but mine has the antennas installed. During my research, I found out that the antennas and NO-line needed to be replaced It is not possible to replace dice!

Can it be used with other range extender devices of other brands?

The Linksys AC750 (RE6250) extender I am using is working without any You should be able to use any extender

What happens when I connect CenturyLink fiber to this router?

I am not using a modem router combo, this router is on its own.

This is the AX56U format
5/5

In a RT-based mesh network, I am using it as a mesh node An AX88U router is available. Straight out of the box, the software worked well. My whole 2x2 operation was achieved with 80MHz speed through Ethernet backhaul, which was a breeze. With Fibre Internet I am getting 469/417 Mbps 25 feet from the access point connected to WIFI 5 (ac) and at the same range connected to WIFI 5 (ax) I am getting 507/507 Mbps as if I were There is an increase in ping times of around 2ms due to the Backhaul.

The AI Mesh software works great! Installing this was so easy, I should have done it a long time The Asus router I just got replaced the Linksys router I had three months ago (don't get me started on that decided to set up a mesh network with another Asus router after I saw how well it worked
5/5

There are three routers on my property so I can cover it completely. It was necessary for me to manually switch between the routers as I moved. It would be possible to resolve this problem with a mesh network. After looking at some online reviews and a bunch of YouTube videos, I chose this device. Asus showed a few videos of how to set up a Mesh network, including the Asus one. I was able to complete it in actual practice. The system must have been updated. By connecting the router and cable modem to my computer with an Ethernet cable, I was able to gain full internet access. The configuration screen was displayed. As long as I wanted to set it up as a mesh node or a router, I had that option. Decide which node to use. Later on, I was instructed to link the computer back to the main router and to leave this one plugged in and close by. I used that same config screen to click on the AiMesh button after the main router was powered back up. After clicking on the Find AiMesh node button, the results appeared on the screen. Shortly thereafter, the new router was detected by the mesh node, and I was asked if I wanted it to act as one. That's right. Then there was a short pause before it told me that it needed to update the firmware. A click on Administration was made. It is > Under the "Software Update" tab, click the "Check for updates" button It is > Make sure the update is up to date. Updated the node and told it to. It should be left to its own devices. A power cycle was performed on the router (now node). To return to the AIMesh screen, I told the program yes to include the detected device as After some time, I went to the bathroom. Afterwards, that was all there was to There was only one glitch - when the signal fell below - my device didn't turn on I would say that it is 70 dB. The signal strength app on my phone still shows a "good" signal, but it is really bad when you try A video on YouTube (search for "Behfor") inspired me to adjust the threshold to 0% An average sound pressure level of 60 decibels. The Wireless button is located within the Advanced Settings area. There is a professional tab on the menu. You can change the number in the "Disconnect clients with RSSI lower than" field by selecting the number in the Roaming Assistant field. Then the " from the The 70 dBm to the -5 dBm range The sound pressure level should be 60 dB. Use this application. This is wonderful. As I move between nodes and routers, I can see my phone move transparently from node to router. While streaming music isn't halted while changing radios, there is a slight delay when switching radio stations. Asus routers are awesome! I'm totally happy with them! There is still warranty period on the Linksys, so I plan on asking them to fix or replace It would be easy for me to sell it even if I could fix it. It is so much better to use an Asus.

Comparing the Verizon FiOS G1100 to this product, the rating is five stars
5/5

Calling over WiFi has worked for some time now. Our broadband service is Verizon FiOS, and our router is the Verizon Quatum G1100. Having a Verizon G1100 was a major nuisance as the signal strength was constantly weak. There was a weak signal on the second floor of a two-story house in the room directly above the G1100 router. The 5 GHz network could not be found or the 4 GHz network could not be found. I had to move to a different wing of the building to get any sleep. Wifi calling (making phone calls over WiFi instead of 3G/4G) did not function as well as expected. A new ASUS RT-AC66U was purchased by our household Verizon G1100 will be replaced by a Motorola AX56U that offers wireless functionality. Despite the changes, the Verizon G1100 still serves as the router inside of Verizon's It is powered by an ASUS RT-AC90U processor There is now wireless connectivity provided by the AX56U. In the Verizon G1100, WiFi was not turned on. A new ASUS RT-AC66U is on the way The AX56U is configured as an Access Point and is connected via ethernet to the Verizon G1100. Asus' RT-AC88U consists of one RT-AC88U chip and one RT-AC88U IC Running the July 2020 firmware on the AX56U is flawless. We have been able to solve all of our wireless problems with the ASUS RT-AC88U As IX56U. A modern device like an iPhone 11 is accessing the internet at a record speed in Prior to iOS 11, the iPhone 11 was only capable of connecting to Verizon's 2G network. An Internet network powered by a 4 GHz chip. And I can finally use Wifi Calling. Since the coverage in our area is spotty, we can now make and receive calls without any problems. As a bonus, the ASUS RT-AC87U comes with an ASUS Aura display Introducing the AX56U, a wireless LAN adapter An 802. 11b router using the Wi-Fi 6 standard. The 11ax symbol. I've seen the router for around $100 USB and it's a very recent standard. There were a lot of bargains to be had.

The ASUS products I bought will never ever be purchased again by me
3/5

It has been two months since I purchased this router and I still haven't had time to set it up. Since the motherboard has a few bugs, it doesn't perform correctly. Nothing was done with it. It just sat in a box. A constant drop of 2 is experienced. The 4GHz band is available for WiFi. In the first instance, I only had to manually reconnect and it would last for another few minutes. Later, it worked automatically again, but it did so in such a way that the laptop could not automatically reconnect. The time passed, and it failed within a few seconds. It was not possible for me to complete the install on my 2nd computer. The software would not run on my 4GHz laptop, so I had to use my 5GHz cell phone to finish it. Exaggerating the word "finish" here would be a mistake. As well, if you do not have a connection to Asus, you will not be able to log in. The company. connecting without the modem connected, and I was not able to do so. Since every other router is not connected to the internet, it has operated autonomously. As well as the privacy concerns, there appears to be no option for the ASUS web servers to opt out of sending my browsing history to them. There have been too many days since it was last returned, so it is going in the garbage. The ASUS router I just got is the 4th failed ASUS router I've gotten from the company. I would like to think that I will never purchase another item with the ASUS name in the future. I just thought I'd point out that this would make a great gift for your enemies, as well as for people who enjoy getting migraines.
