Questions & Answers

It failed after six weeks for me. What is the length of time you have ?

In my case, it also worked well for six months, but then stopped working randomly.

What is the compatibility with Chromebooks? It's absolutely awful that Chromebooks come with built-in wireless. ?

This should work, and I've tried it on my PC and HP laptop with no problems

The Polycom vvx450 contains this port, will it work?

By Polycom, I mean the phone, so it will not Operating systems other than Windows and Mac are not supported by this device

What's the speed up on an old Dell desktop with slow built-in WiFi if I do this?

The speed of your WiFi connection will not be improved, but it could speed up the processing on your computer. In that case, the connection may speed up, as long as it has a faster download speed than your old Dell A faster connection is preferred over your old WiFi, because the new one will only work with a faster one. Likewise, you should verify that your cable or DSL modem can handle the speed your ISP is offering. You will not experience any improvements to your internet speed on your old Dell desktop if either of these are false.

A bit deceptive since bottlenecks occur at WiFi USB adapters that are available for under $15 tend to be sad affairs, single band N150 affairs) and it takes up very little There is, however, a chance that you might not receive the full rated speeds of TP-Link It is stated in the link that this device is capable of speeds up to 175
3/5

However, I have achieved only 175 speeds after running over 50 speed tests on the 5 GHz band. The speed dropped steadily to around 165Mbps, and more consistently to 15Mbps. Since it is the only device I own that is not capable of exceeding 200Mbps, it is the only one I own that cannot exceed it. A comparison is made with With the 5GHz band and the 802. 11, Link states that you can reach speeds of up to 433Mbps. As with anything, you get what you pay for, but be aware that this device offers only about 40% of the specifications advertised by it.

My computer (Dell Inspiron 13) is running Windows 10
5/5

Plug and play at its best. In the last four months, the newest Windows 10 update has caused my internet to get disconnected dozens of times per hour. I have to use the troubleshooting process to get it to work for a couple of minutes, before it drops. The troubleshooting book has been used all the way through. Uninstalling the program. Introducing the newest version of the app. The installation of an older version has been completed. All the settings have to be changed. Let me format it Nothing works despite calling over and over again. Finally, I found a post that mentioned my wireless card and the specific update, and it gave me the answer I needed. It was recommended to have a wireless adapter, and one of Amazon's top recommendations was for this. It came on right away as soon as I plugged it in. It only took me a few seconds to select Wifi It defaulted to 3 (my internal adapter was at 2), and I re-configured it Once I entered the wireless password for my home, I was connected all night long. I did not see a single flicker all night long. Neither a slowdown nor a pause. My home page didn't need to be loaded every time I wanted to see if I was connected or not I had forgotten what it was like to not have to do that. I'd have liked to have gotten this a long time.

I was able to use the 5GHz band, but the 2GHz band did not work
4/5

The 4GHz band is powered by the following model For a Windows 7 laptop, I bought the Archer T2U Nano (AC600 dual band)

I spent $20 on it because of This is *br1. It was becoming increasingly difficult to use the laptop's WiFi. 1. I. 2. Only version 2 of WiFi was supported by the built-in system. The device operates within the 4GHz band, but not the 5GHz band. There is very little space in the file. Wireless mouse receiver. About the size of a USB flash drive. I've tested it with the 5GHz band, but there is no problem with it. A green LED indicates that it is working properly. It was easy to install drivers from the CD included with the package. The cons are In attempting to install drivers, I was unable to do so from the manufacturer's website. Neither the drivers nor the operating system could be updated. The CD/DVD reader on my laptop made it easy to install the driver. As can be seen in the speed test results, the performance of the two models are comparable. There are mixed signals on the 4GHz band. 2. I can use my Wi-Fi card when I am near the router. With the 4GHz band, I can browse much faster and get a faster connection than using my laptop's built-in Wifi. It is the same as the 1. When there is no connected room, it is In comparison to the built-in wireless network (Realtek chip), the 4GHz band performs poorly. I can access the 5GHz band with a steady and strong signal, no matter where I am in the room. It is slightly disappointing to see this kind of result There are no known technical reasons for the issue. It seems like the 5GHz band is the default on this adapter, so I'll stick to that Despite its size and speed, it is powerful.

This product is getting a lot of "no's"
3/5

I could not or would not install it. As soon as I plugged it into a USB port, Windows 10 recognized it not as a Wi-Fi adapter, but instead as a storage device. I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded their drivers, but the same thing happened. I have tried installing on another computer, but with no success. I emailed their tech support and haven't heard back since ten days ago. The sucker had to go back to the owner, I don't know why I picked it out of the litter.

I have never seen a network adapter this bad
3/5

In the beginning, I did not have high expectations. My 6 year old laptop's WiFi needs to be faster than it is already. I wanted an adapter that would enhance the speed. This is between 130 and 170 Mbps at present. There are several things to consider when purchasing this Even though it was considerably faster than this laptop, it still couldn't catch up. The download speed was 77 megabits per second, and the upload speed was 62. Wireless connectivity included with the laptop provides download speeds of 140 Mbps and upload speeds of 67 Mbps. There is something insulting about that. It is simply absurd that a brand new adapter advertised to have 433 megabits per second is only capable of about 17 percent of its advertised speed. Buying is not a good idea.

NOT TO BUY FROM THEM EVER A RUNAROUND WARRANTY is meant to discourage claims
3/5

On 17 January 2020, the items were purchased June 17 marked the beginning of the end of the product. Here is the link to the Used Manufacturer Chat There is an intent to frustrate you to the point where you decide not to continue. I waited in line for quite a while. Once I was connected, the customer service rep (CSR) asked that I retype the information I previously had entered only to get into the queue (basically for a refund or replacement product). Customer service is extremely slow to respond The question "Are you there?" had to be repeated numerous times. We figured out that they were handling multiple customers once the customer service rep replied that they were handling multiple Tasking was the problem, and that was why it took In the midst of answering and waiting for response to many mundane questions, CSR finally asked me for the checklist of 10 or so questions to take into account as we attempted to resolve the issue. Some of them had already been addressed, some were idiotic - but all were questions I wanted answered. Has the product been working for a while? After asking a few more questions, the customer service representative gave me a link so that I could register the product and request a replacement, and she referred me to a new window while remaining in chat. It took me some time to set up an account, and then I couldn't register the account without a serial number, even though the Amazon proof of purchase order details were uploaded. I went back to Chat to find out how to handle this issue, but it would not let me resume it (as the CSR told me), so I had to start over In my case there were another six people ahead of me when I entered the queue. Definitely won't do business with them again!.
