The BIOS of your computer must recognize the device in order for you to use The BIOS may not recognize it before windows loads in all BIOS.
I cannot think of any reason why. I use it mostly on an Apple iPAD Pro 13" and it works very well. You can use the Apple USB kit to connect the iPAD to a USB 3 port. Also, I have tried it on a cheap W10, Atom based, 2G RAM, 32 ROM system and it worked fine. Furthermore, I just tested it on a Win 7 HP laptop and a Win 10 HP laptop and they both worked fine.
You'll need the USB type C adapter and a 29 watt power supply to get this to work

Almost every wireless keyboard and mouse will be affected. Surface Pro is compatible with this product. It greatly improves the experience with Teams meetings and works well for high-speed LAN connections. Now, when it is plugged in and being used, the Logitech keyboard and mouse combo will have erratic movement or typing when it is plugged in. In these cases, a small USB transceiver is plugged into the port just next to the Ethernet Using the mouse and keyboard is impossible, glitchy, and extremely slow because of it. The Logitech gear is so close to the ethernet adapter that I tend to suspect there is an EMI issue affecting the Transceiver for the Logitech gear. I do not have another USB port on the opposite side of the surface to test out. It is best to prepare ahead of time.
For those of you who are choosing to buy the adapter and have a USB C port, we recommend using it, as the USB A to RJ45 adapter has not been working as seamlessly as the USB-C one. An adapter that converts USB to RJ45. In comparison to one with a C port, the one with an A port does not provide top gigabit speeds.
originally thought this would be compatible with the Surface Pro 5 which does not come with an Ethernet adapter since it is made by Microsoft. Basically, it does, but with slower speeds It barely gets more than 100 Mbps with this adapter, but I can do over 400 Mbps with wireless. It was purchased after my desktop died and I wanted to use my Surface Pro instead to hook up to the internet. I have Gigabit Internet speeds. I will ask for a refund since it was a waste of money.
I am satisfied with how well it fits and works with my Microsoft Surface I had a great experience online and there was no need to install programs on my part, saving me both time and money! The price was cheaper than the Microsoft store and I didn't need to travel.
A gigabit Ethernet interface over USB C is available. There is nothing complicated about this device, and it works fine. The only thing I wanted was that. I don't see any signs of wear on it in the near future even though the cable is not braided. It does the job well and is great value for the money, every time, on the spot, I'm in love with.
Although this is a Microsoft Surface adapter, I've been able to use it with an XPS 15, an XPS 13, a Razer Stealth, etc. and it all worked perfectly. Installing drivers is not necessary, just plug it in and use it! A slim and well-constructed travel adapter, this is compact and easily fits in a I love it!.
great USB drive for anyone who needs one that is small, simple, and easy to adapt This adapter is network.
The attachment is a handy tool for faster internet access. I have no complaints and it came in a nicely packaged box.
