It has given me all sorts of problems from the first day I got it This laptop wouldn't hold its charge, and the laptop did not recognize the battery at times. I am wholly dissatisfied with this product.
After writing this initial review, I was compelled to make both a rating change and to update the review. It goes without saying that this seller has gone above and beyond to ensure I received only what I ordered from them. During the week of March 8, I was contacted by the seller asking for him to start the process of sending me a new battery for no charge. As soon as I bought the item, his only goal was for me to get it, then apologize for the bad item I initially bought - he was not interested in anything else. The month had just passed and we still had new content! It has been my seller's privilege to keep in touch with me in each stage of the process to ensure that the item he submitted was performing to my expectations and has been diligent at every step. As my first shipment did not meet my expectations, I did not expect to have such a positive experience! However, just the fact this seller cared to make sure I was satisfied, sending me a replacement item, and following up to ensure the replacement was performing as expected was all I needed. The seller is the kind of seller I would do business with.

I had a tough time installing on a Dell 7577, however. Having had it for three years, my Dell Inspiron 7577's OEM battery had dried out by the time it reached 15 minutes. In fact, Dell's price is well over $100, and considering I'm familiar with computers, I did not have any issues buying an aftermarket part, especially since other reviews on this particular item were quite positive. Upon receiving this battery, I immediately started working on it, downloading the repair manual and replacing it as soon as possible. An easy way to remove the back of a 7577 is by removing the screws. It is easy to remove the screws that hold the battery in place. The CONNECTOR has to be removed from the old battery (and the new battery can then be connected) and that will be nerve-racking The situation is nerve-wracking Those are actually some of the thinnest, most fragile wires and connectors I have ever Please do not pull on either connector (the end that connects to computer as well as the one that connects to battery) if you do this. By gently pressing both ends of the battery cable with the point of a sewing needle, I was able to free the cable. I gently nudged it one side, and then the other, so that it was far enough off the pins so that I could lift it off the rest of the way (HANDLE WITH CARE! Replacing the old battery was the reverse of what was done when putting it back on Gently pressing the pins with the needle's eye while fitting it onto the pins and then pushing the pins on either side. In order to remove the cable, I had to take both ends off. The cable had to be flipped for removal of the computer connector and the battery because the wires are so thin I was afraid of damaging them (the connector is facing down, however, so if you don't remove the computer end first, it needs to be flipped). In the event that I would flip it over, I was scared that it would break the wires. The system was able to boot smoothly when both connectors were in place, the screws were put back in, and the laptop's back was put on. After I charged the battery, I ran the laptop until shutdown three or four times until it was condition, to make sure it was fully charged. The original Dell Inspiring 17 7000 series laptop battery has never served me well, but recently it often ceases to function with little warning after just a short period of time. After installing it today, I fully charged it, then disconnected it from the wall to find out what would happen. In fact, I still have over 50% battery life after using the laptop for hours. I don't recall the battery lasting this long when the laptop was new, so I cannot comment on how long the battery will last. After a full charge, I will post a follow-up if the battery doesn't hold up.

My Inspiron 17's battery was dead, so I replaced it A series of 7000 computers. Having searched YouTube for a video, I found one. It was not necessary to use the tools provided, I did need a small screwdriver with a phillips head. I recall my laptop having a bigger battery when I first got it - I don't recall that from when it was new I am not getting any sleep after 12 hours You could read a book on your Kindle if you use it intensively. A WiFi connection and email will keep you connected for 8 hours. The length of time spent with it is hard to tell, since I've only had it for a few.

In comparison to the OEM battery when it was new, the replacement battery works flawlessly and offers even greater battery life. My computer recognized it quickly after I installed it and without requiring me to make any changes to my software. Having confidence that the seller will make things right is the best way to deal with a dud. The original review was as follows It was much easier to replace the battery in my Inspiron 7577 than the original, because this replacement was completely faulty. The battery is recognized on my computer (it shows 11% even after being plugged in for hours), but when I unplug the AC adapter, the computer instantly shuts down. Everything worked perfectly after I swapped in the old battery, so I did not damage anything in the process. Attempting several ways to fix the DOA battery and following Amazon Support's suggestions, I put it back in to see if anything worked. The good news is that I'm getting pretty good about replacing batteries quickly, so when I finally find a replacement that works, I'll have changed it five times already!
