Questions & Answers

Does the Targus metro roller case have a water resistance rating?

Despite its good intentions, the case has some major design defects There is a compartment for the extensible handle that is directly accessible from As a result, if the handle is extended, it forms a funnel on top of the bag that lets water in. However, if you keep it completely zipped up and carry it instead of rolling it (which is awkward to do and defeats the purpose of having a roller bag), the bag is relatively waterproof.

Do you think that this bag is large enough to hold textbooks and school notebooks?

Of course it should be able to hold more than just your computer and textbooks. It is the black inner lining that separates the two zippered compartments that I cut out. In it I can fit my purse of course (it's a large purse), computer (15 inches), thick spiral notebook, work papers, and high heels! I take the train to work, roll it all around and to the bottom it keeps all of the weight from dragging. It has been the best investment I have made so far

Is it small enough to fit under the airplane seat?

It has been under my seats for 2 years and I am a pilot. There will be no problem fitting it.

Can I use a padlock to secure the contents if the zippers meet in such a way that a lock can be placed between the two?

This bag has a zipper that can be locked with a small padlock, but the one on the back won't do that and the pockets on the back have access to the main ones, so it's not very useful.

It is a shame, as I had purchased a similar cart in the past
3/5

This cart is so sad, I bought one just like it and it lasted for two years in the past. It has been about a month since the wheels changed, and they have now split. Such a sad situation!.

A bag you will have to pay for for the rest of your life
3/5

I bought this for my girlfriend when she got her first teaching job. In honor of her hard work over the past years, I wanted to give her a gift that showed how proud I am of her and how much she had endured. I look back on the last four You will not be able to raise the handle bar from its down position anymore. The customer service rep who I encountered contacted me today, WHO was absolutely delightful. However, the warranty stipulates that, in the event your product fails, that you'll be required to pay for the 7 pound bag to be sent out. I wanted you to know that this bag is going to a teacher in emergency, so economic shipping is out because she needs it immediately, it would cost me damn near half of the amount I paid for the bag to ship it over ground and over the amount I paid to ship it three As far as they are concerned, it is fair for the customer to pay for the bag and to pay for THEIR defect mistake to You're completely out of your mind! If you need to rely on this, I suggest you do not buy this book.

This is a great bag
4/5

The compartments were large enough for me. My bag is for school because I have to carry a lot of heavy books, so I bought a roller bag that can help me and isn't too much work on my arms and back. This bag is pretty stable and does not tip over like other roller bags do, so I'm glad I purchased it. My gym bag can be placed on top and I won't have to worry about how heavy and tired I will be after carrying my books all day long. A laptop is also my possession, but it is an 11" Apple laptop. There are no hidden fees involved, so it does not take much space. The PC part has a good cushion to protect the computer. I like the size of the bag as it's pretty big It works very well to carry heavier things inside the bag since I tried it out more inside to see how heavy it can carry. Rather than giving this a four, I gave it a three because I felt the handle would break due to its lightness, and my package arrived later than Overall, I still find it a good read.

I am in love with the bag, but I am not a fan of This is so disappointing to me since I really like the bag but the wheels are made of a hard plastic and do not last very long
3/5

The bag I just purchased was my second purchase, as I purchased the first in July 2017. Initially, I thought it might be a fluke with the first purchase, but it has happened again ever since. It's the same issue with both bags - both wheels burst open. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure. Making the wheels out of rubber as well as the capability of changing them is a must. In addition, the bag itself is in very good condition until the wheels fail, then it is no good, and you cannot even change the wheels for new ones, which is sad since the bag.

The Targus Warranty isn't actually a warranty at all
3/5

Those were the prices on Amazon 10 when I purchased the case I rely on my rolling laptop case almost every day to keep my business on the move. This is a matter of vital importance Until you contact Targus Customer Service, this bag is covered by Targus' "Lifetime Warranty. " If you contact Targus Customer Service again, the warranty will have to be paid In the image above you can see how the 5/8 inch thick plastic wheel cover completely broke off. There is a wheel on each side. In addition, the wheel dragged because the case wouldn't roll properly, causing it to be horribly CS told me to mail the case back for them to examine-- I called Targus CS about it and they said they'd look at it. Instead of an email, there could be no picture sent to them. Initially, they said they would send me another within 3 business days, but I would have to give them my credit card number for whatever reason it was. In essence, as I understand it, I have to pick up the cost of the Warranty that was supposed to be Sorry, I can't help you. The fact that I am without a vital piece of my business equipment has led me to look elsewhere I think Targus has something to learn from me.

There are several issues with this product

In relation to this bag, I bought it for my girlfriend, but she only used it for about a month and half until one of the wheels broke and now she is unable to The bag is terrible and I wouldn't recommend it.

This is not the bag you're used to! Complaining isn't my style, but I have to admit Three times I've owned the bag, but this is the last time I'm going to buy it
3/5

Be warned, they don't hold up like they used to, and the warranty is a joke. Due to Amazon's documentation of my purchases, I can see I lasted two years for the first bag, one year for the second, and 6 months for the final one. It took 2 years for the wheels on the first bag to break, so I have no complaints. I still had the second bag for about 9 months, and the handle stopped working after this, so I just lived with it a little while longer before getting a new one. However, the handle stopped retracting after 6 months on the last case (purchased 10/2017). During the remainder of the school year, I limped along with the handle extended. In the summer of this year, I contacted Targus for a replacement since it was less than a year old. As you can see, it was a pretty simple process- They will send you a new bag if you send the old one back. Once the shipping price is calculated, I price the order. I spent more than $50 on it, more than a new bag would have cost! The “on-line” experience took up a substantial amount of my time You can also request a waiver of the "return the defective bag" policy through a "line chat" with customer care. Their unwavering commitment to this product was absolutely unwavering--no replacements while the bag was missing. To recycle the defective bag, they need to see The policy at our agency is Whether you like it or not is up to you. Why don't you take the customer's loyalty and logic into consideration? Let me tell you a little bit about my search, I have decided that I won't be purchasing a Targus bag.

The bag is great With new wheels and rubber lining, the ride will be better
4/5

This is the one I bought in April In addition to carrying my laptop and LED projector, I use this bag for other necessities. The battery has held up pretty well so far. Sadly, the wheels (rubber) have split a little over two years after I purchased it. In addition to rivets holding the wheel housing and wheel to the frame, there is another way of attaching the wheel to the frame. I hate to deal with that! As a result, I had to drill out the wheels in order to replace them. In any case, now the wheels and housing are attached with machine screws, nuts, Consequently, the next time around you'll be able to replace the wheels with no problems. Moreover, I stuck a rubber liner on both sides of the bottom of the back and on the bottom half of the underside to prevent any ground erosion. If you are wondering, I replaced the wheels with inline skate Wheels that have been installed on this bag (and all other luggages) are high quality and much better than those originally installed on the bag.
