My order just came in. Dimensions on the EXTERNAL side are 16 x 16 x The size of this artwork is 25" by 11". The dimensions are 13" x 2, if you please. I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with a 16 inch diagonal screen, which is 15" wide and 1.14 inches thick. One can barely fit in a 5 thick. In and out of the case it's very difficult to get and you have to remove it with the help of an extra hand to hold the zipper open so it comes out, or else it hangs up. It is recommended that you upgrade your laptop if it is more than 14 inches. You need something else if you have 5" wide. This one will be returned to the library.

In short, yes. There are many compartments in this bag. Screen size is 15 inches on my portable screen. There is the laptop, the cable, wireless mouse, flash drive, portable battery, and of course the cables. The bag does become heavier when I overpack, but its outside shape doesn't come out bulky. You still have a nice profile.

Although it might work, the biggest downside is it's tricky to put and take on and off due to the zipper flaps on the ends requiring another hand to open, especially to take off or it hangs over. I've owned it for a little over two weeks. If you sling it over your shoulder, the catches sometimes come loose from the clasps. It isn't broken, but when you wear it over your shoulder, the catches often pop out. As luck would have it, the bag hit the ground the first time I saw it, because I was standing on grass. On the second occasion I was standing on a solid concrete floor earlier this evening I fear that it may have gotten loose again if I hadn't been worried about this happening and no one would have caught it in time and my laptop might have been damaged. As long as you don't count the shoulder strap, the case is fine It can be carried by the handles or rigged with a strap, but the strap would be better.

Considering the price point, it's hard to find fault with a Targus product with a (limited) lifetime warranty, and for those who may be wondering, the case was not made in China, but in Cambodia (as better Case Logic cases are). This is a slim profile bag with well-functioning zippers that is perfect for those who prefer a slim profile. One disappointment for me was the large compartment for the computer, which is just that. Sometimes a machine with a 15 mm diameter fit in a case large enough for that. A tablet can be tucked into a separate pocket in the compartment of the 6 inch display. When the thin-profile machine is made in the last 6 years or less, there is ample space in the compartment to store a notebook and a tablet side by side. A tablet pocket would seem to be a good addition, but Targus did not choose to include one. A double thickness of padding on the bottom of the case would have been preferable because cases are often placed on hard surfaces with the bottom contacting the ground first, and if they are dropped the bottom often makes contact with the ground or floor first. I may add an additional foam strip on the bottom. because it's brand new and only time and use will determine its durability.
About 15 years ago I was due for a new computer The year is It is a Targus laptop bag that needs to be discarded. In spite of its still-strong and whole state, material on the bag had faded and looked old. With the excellent results I had with my past Targus bag, I decided to stick with this brand. This time a more inexpensive model, the Targus Classical Slim Briefcase, was perfect for me. I'm satisfied with it, and it meets my needs at this time. It only has a small complaint the clips or carabiners that secure the shoulder strap to the bag are made of plastic, not metal like on the bag I had before. They are weak in comparison to the old ones. Despite their low price, they appear to be cheap. I'm not a fan of the plastic clips but other than that, everything else looks and feels.
