Be cautious when making a purchase
3/5

I don't usually write reviews, but this one seemed deserving. The seller was kind enough to sell me an HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini Business PC. The HP EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF, which is significantly larger, was what I received. I work in the information technology industry, where I deal with programming, software, and hardware, so I consider myself to have some credibility when it comes to PCs and knowing what should and shouldn't be done. br>br>The goal of this system didn't necessitate a lot of processing power. I was fine with the system being "Renewed" because I can deal with most problems that arise; however, the item I received was not what I ordered, and it was in pretty bad shape, which made me doubt the "Renewal" process. The latching mechanism on the top cover was damaged, so it couldn't even be removed. br>br>As a result, I began communicating with the seller. They were initially quite responsive, and we exchanged a few emails, the most recent of which requested photos of the computer I had received. I was reasonably certain that they would correct their error at this point. I sent the photos in as requested, and then nothing happened. Apart from an automated response confirming receipt of my submission, there has been no response. I sent several messages over several days requesting a status update, but I received no response. br>br>I should have known better, and I should have known better after reading "Customer Service's" review, which mentioned the same exact problem, but I was hoping it was an isolated incident. It appears that this is not the case. br>br>While this seller has a lot of positive feedback, I would advise you to proceed with caution when purchasing this item.

The CPU and memory I received in the system were not described online, and the CPU I received was an I5-based system
3/5

The processor was a 6400T, and the memory was (2) 4GB DDR3. I immediately sent it back. I didn't mind the service; it's just that I don't like misleading advertising.

As shown in the illustration: The HP G2 mini is the tiniest of the HP G2 computers
5/5

I received the HP G2 mini (the smallest one they have), exactly as shown in the pictures and description. The specifications are also identical, and it cost less than $250. Perfect for kids' school and whatever viruses they'll pick up while playing online games. br>I'm very pleased with the packaging, it's very secure, and there are no scratches. In my opinion, it is as good as new. br>It's up and running in a flash. I'm thinking about getting another one just to be safe. br>* I paired it with a 27" monitor to give it the appearance of a high-end computer, despite the fact that it cost me less than $500. , and I believe there are screens that accept a PC mount so it appears to be an All-in-One. one PC. br>It also comes with a keyboard and a pretty cool-looking mouse, which I didn't realize. br>I'm overjoyed. br>br>*if you're going to run it over WiFi- You'll need a dongle or an M2 network WiFi card, which costs around $14, and antennas, which I forgot to buy. We'll have to wait another two weeks. You'll have to wait three days before you can unplug the cable (another $7-$10). 15).

Minimalist Desktop with a lot of power
5/5

Taking a look at the 800G2/CI5- Variant of the 6500T br>br>This computer performs admirably. The Realtek wireless adapter that came with it was the only issue I had with it. It refused to work, and even when it did, once it was connected to my network, it never stayed connected. I replaced it with an old Netgear wireless adapter that I had lying around. br>br>Advantagesbr>- Memory is never an issue with 16 GB of RAMbr>- The i5-processor is a high-performance processor. 6500 CPU capable of handling everything I throw at it (Bluestacks Virtualization, Media Server Hosting, Multi Video Transcoding, and so on)br>- There are numerous USB ports on both the front and back panels (at least four on each end)br>- 2+ USB 3. 0 portsbr>br>Consbr>- 0 portsbr>br>0 portsbr>br>0 portsbr>br>0 portsb Only the wireless adapter that comes with the computer, not the computer itselfbr>br>Notesbr>- It comes with a wired keyboard and mouse. br>- Once you've booted up, you'll need to install a slew of updates. br>- An external USB wireless adapter (wireless n, 300mbps, assuming single band) is used.

If you get the "Mini" version, you can expect zippy performance in a small package
5/5

NOTE: Gaming is not a part of my usage. I needed a smaller PC for office use, surfing, and monitoring a single security camera. The Pros: br>br>The Pros: br>br>The Pros: br>b It's very small, and I was surprised by how small it is. I definitely got the "Mini" version (i. e. , I can pick it up and lift it with one hand) and I definitely got the "Mini" version (i. e. , I can pick it up and lift it with one hand). Small Form Factor isn't the only thing to consider. When compared to a 5X5 NUC (Next Unit of Computing) form factor, what I received is 2" larger in two dimensions. With a Core i5 2GHz processor, this HP delivers zippy performance. The processor is clocked at 5 GHz. (In terms of YouTube 1080p and general browsing, this HP 800 Elitedesk feels as fast as my other PCs, which are all i7-based. ) PCs with top-of-the-line Solid State Drives (4790K with 16GB RAM). Quickly put on your boots. There should be no excessive heat. "Why do people even bother with Intel (or AMD) NUCs?" I wondered once I started using it. (i. the "Next Unit of Computing" form factor, which is 5X5"). According to what I've read, many people who purchase NUC-sized computers experience overheating and driver issues. With this HP unit, none of that is an issue. 256GB Fast SSD drive, but after formatting and installing Windows, it only has 233GB - Still, it's not bad. Totally deafening silence. br>br> Many USB 3. 0 ports are available. 0 ports. The Drawbacks: br>br> There is no HDMI output. It has both a Display Port and a VGA port. (A DP to HDMI adapter was ordered. ) Let's see how things turn out. As a workaround, I'm using VGA for now. )br>br>There was no Operating System disk as a failsafe in case I needed to reinstall or repair the system. There was no OS image on the USB drive, no recovery partition on the SSD drive (that I could find), and no papers or instructions of any kind. Although this does not bother me, the lack of a license key is inconvenient. You start as Local Adminstrator with a "Null" (blank set) password, which I quickly reset and replaced with other accounts for daily use. br>br>This HP is sold by a number of Amazon "resellers. " I purposefully chose one with a 100% rating and paid 40 - For that, you'll have to pay an extra $50. I can confirm that the computer I received is identical to what was pictured, listed, and presented. My package arrived in good condition, with a basic keyboard and mouse included. NO BLOATWARE IN ANY FORM. YAY! So far, I'm happy with what I've received. I believe that buying from a lowball (lowest price or rating) is a recipe for disaster. YMMV. br>br>I have no reservations in recommending this computer. IF . What you get is exactly what's shown/presented, delivered by a reputable Amazon reseller (sub vendor?). I was once again pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the service I received. I'm thinking about abandoning custom builds in the future. Full-sized computers are available for purchase. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> After six months, my SSD (Solid State Drive) failed. It was an off-brand, but it was very fast for the time it worked. When the PC became unbootable, the BIOS' "hard drive" utility check confirmed it was dead. THE BAD NEWS ARE AS FOLLOWS: br>br>THE BAD NEWS ARE AS FOLLOWS: br>b I needed to order a replacement drive because I was past the reseller's 90-day warranty period. THE GOOD NEWS: I upgraded to a Samsung 870 SATA SSD drive. br>br>THE BAD NEWS: They defended themselves by claiming that my Windows 10 installation key was built into the computer - It's possible that it's in the BIOS firmware. I was able to save $140 on a new copy of Windows 10 Pro as a result of this. All I had to do was find a spare USB drive (8GB minimum, I used a verbatim 16GB USB), go to the Microsoft Windows 10 download site, and select the ISO option ** NOT **. The software was installed and ready to use on the USB drive. When I turned it off and on again, the Windows 10 installer appeared, but it never asked for a license key! Yay! There is also no prompt for activation once the installation is complete. TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR The Password to Install - IN REGARD TO THE MODEL I PURCHASED AND RECEIVED - The HP Elite BIOS had a bug in it. This is a very interesting concept! br>br>Additional information: This microcomputer is made available by HP. On this computer, there is a thin, custom SSD data/power connector. It appears to be custom, and it should be handled with caution because it contains PCB tracings on a thin flexible plastic. HOWEVER, it's fantastic! To get things this compact, they had to engineer it this way. BOTTOM LINE: This unit's SSD can be changed or upgraded with minimal effort! Cheers!.
