Realtek 8111 is a sound card from Realtek.
I have an external DVD drive, which I have connected and loaded with a DVD. The trial version of Microsoft's "Windows DVD Player" (which can be purchased for $14.95) was required to be installed. 99), after which a DVD was loaded into the player. The Trial Version checks your hardware for compatibility and informs you that you won't be able to watch the movie. with the exception of a watermark screen, which it does. br>br>You specifically asked about "from an EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE." The DVD played fine and I was able to navigate through menus, etc. Regardless of how you connect your MP4 movies to your PC, they should play. br>br>I purchased this low-cost Beelink unit specifically to test the ability to hold Zoom meetings and webinars (as an alternative to Co-Casting). Local recording (on the host device) - So far, it's doing a fantastic job with that as well!
Any m. It would be possible to use two SSDs, one of which would be NVMe. I'm using a 1TB nvme ssd drive, which is extremely fast and has a maximum capacity of probably 2TB.

When this tinypc said 4k, it raised my expectations quite a bit. In reality, there's a lot of lag between keyboard and mouse response when you're just running 1080. Running Windows Updates is a great way to quickly max out your CPU. This isn't the manufacturer's fault, but Windows 10 is bloated to the max, and Win11 will be no different. Thankfully, that was not the case when I bought it. br>I purchased this solely as a virtual box for hosting pfsense and TrueNAS, and I can confirm that it will do so natively. ESXI won't boot from a USB installer, but Proxmox went smoothly. To get a suitable drive pool, I had to add a drive, but then it was off to the races! br>Gig ports are capable of pushing gigabits. This small processor has enough processing power to run PFSENSE on two cores, with one dedicated to TrueNAS and the other to Proxmox overhead. There is no jitter or stuttering when the program is running. br>It's a nice touch that you get a Win10 Pro license as well. I just wish Windows Defender antivirus wasn't using so much CPU power while I was backing up. br>br>If you just want a small web box that will play YouTube videos and open a couple of tabs in Edge or Firefox, this one will suffice. If you want to use something more powerful in Windows, this machine simply does not have the processing power to transcode or play any modern game. Even though Starcraft 2 has been out for a decade, I wouldn't try it on this.
When this device first arrived, it had memory problems. Beelink quickly replaced the item with one that worked after I noticed severe system instability. If you have serious problems, don't be afraid to get a replacement. br>br>Every manufacturer has duds; I recently bought a $2000 Lenovo with similar hardware issues. The item is a good buy as long as the manufacturer is willing to replace it.
I completely replaced the Windows 10 Home operating system application with the IPFire Application Image, which is a Linux OS, and it works flawlessly. This is now my network's boundary firewall, and it's been running smoothly for over a month with no noticeable performance degradation. br>Thank you, Beelink, for providing a low-cost, high-quality device with two gigabit ethernet network ports, which are critical to my network setup.
I purchased this box with the intention of installing either a Pfsense or a Sophos XG/UTM firewall. I wasn't sure if it would be strong enough at first, but it blew me away. Before installing it, I ran some tests and was able to achieve speeds that were close to full gigabit, which is fantastic. The firewall works flawlessly and, for the first time, gives me much more granular control over all of my network's devices. Now all I need is a better switch to complete my setup, and I'll be very happy. br>br>The Beelink was less expensive than some of the other options but had a larger hard drive; however, there is no easy comparison to install anything on the Beelink vs. the other options. others. For me, it's not a big deal, but it might deter some people from buying.
I used the included VESA bracket to mount the Mini PC behind an Acer VG220Q monitor, which was very sturdy and well designed, and it protected the product during shipping to me in Thailand. br>This appears to be an updated model and does NOT have a card slot (as shown in a couple of images on the product page). br>Setting up Windows 10 Pro was quick and painless, though installing the numerous updates took a long time. There appear to be differing viewpoints on whether or not an SSD can be used instead of an HDD in the 2. 5" slot. Only HDD drives are supported, according to Beelink customer service. Amazon customer service was extremely helpful, and they informed me that an SSD could be used as far as they knew. I installed a WD Blue 500GB SSD and had no issues. Overall, it's a fantastic offer - I was even given a $12 bill. 99 in 'excess import fees' were refunded, making my purchase even more affordable. I'm still pleased after two weeks of use, but I'll provide an update if any issues arise in the future.
It appeared to be running slowly after adding a Samsung 870 EVO. Even though sata3 was listed as an option, Samsung Magician confirmed that the SSD was only running at sata2, despite the fact that the internal drive was running at sata3. Support has been unable to provide a satisfactory response other than to state that it is backwards compatible with sata2/sata1. br>br>It's also subjected to a lot of interference on 2. When using 4G WiFi with USB 3 devices, the remote connection is frequently lost. br>br>I've had this for a few months and am really hoping to like it because it's the right size and performs well enough for my needs. However, I require more storage that operates at the highest possible speed, and it is unclear whether this is possible given the current level of support.
The item arrived in perfect condition after being properly packed. It was simple to set up, and the software was updated quickly. The unit is so quiet that I have to double-check the panel for the light to make sure it's turned on. Not only will I purchase another item from Beekink in the near future, but I've also spoken with our IT department about replacing future desktops with Beekink products. Except for extreme gaming or video editing, I would highly recommend this particular setup.
I uninstalled Windows and replaced it with pfSense, which appears to be working properly. br>I can get 288Mbps without the device, so it's not slowing things down. br>It appears to be capable of running untangle and IPFire, but I have yet to test them. br>I am unable to comment on gaming or technical support.
