It would be cool to see Photoshop in true life color on a 4k display

Does the stand add two more inches to the height? And then the camera makes the total height larger?

*br>Marilyn, the distance between the top of my screen and the top of my desktop is 18 inches. It is 75 inches in length. About 20 inches are covered by the camera when it is fully extended. I think this is an excellent Great for Photoshop and Lightroom. There are two displays I use with it. I am Ron K. Please accept my best regards

An excellent PC that can be used for many different purposes, but it's an odd combination of specs and price
4/5

I think this is a pretty nice all-around song For the average consumer, one PC is sufficient. While it does many things well, I would like to see it changed in a few areas. A compact version of the iMac. Clearly modeled after and intended to compete with it. As compared to an iMac, it is lacking some important features but also comes with extra features the iMac doesn't have. You could purchase the HP 21 for about the same cost as this HP. Based on your preferences and what features are important to you, the 5" iMac may be a better fit. The PC doesn't excel when it comes to productivity, but I think it would be a good choice for someone who just wants a machine that's fairly easy to set up and use right away. Generally speaking, it is good for browsing, sharing photos or media (and we can edit them in some cases). I think of it as an extra-large tablet that has extra connectivity, is faster, and can use Windows drivers and software if the other restrictions don't bother you too much. As such, I continue to be unsure of the intended demographic, given the somewhat strange combination of price and features (at least in my opinion). My opinion is that the biggest limitation of this PC is its low screen resolution (explained I think HP's PC would have been far more impressive if they had gone for a 4k or even a 1440p display. For what it is right now, this PC is a curious combination of high-end consumer parts for an all-purpose machine It is somewhat expensive, has a low resolution screen, and only comes with one PC (except for a graphics card). My top complaint about this computer is the screen. I feel the parts selection for this machine is geared towards productivity and speed in general, but it is very limiting. The screen is made by a good manufacturer (LG), but the low resolution severely hampers its ability to be used for heavy productivity purposes It is not a screen you'll want to stare at for many hours on end despite the CPU being fast and the SSD making use of the system convenient. It is always possible for an external display to be connected to this, but it defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one display. Don't you think it's just one PC? Lastly, I would like to mention that I would recommend spending half the cost of this computer on a much nicer screen, and the other half on a mini or NUC PC (depending on the space you have) with an NVMe SSD, at least 16GB of RAM, and an i3 or better CPU. Media consumption and editing were also potential demographics that I considered. This is sufficient for media consumption as long as you are not streaming 4K video, which is becoming more and more common these days (in that case, just sit farther away from the screen and it will not appear pixelated unless you have excellent vision). If you plan to edit media on this PC, I do not recommend it. In addition, the CPU, RAM, and SSD are adequate for most editing tasks, but again the screen does not meet expectations. My first choice for a higher resolution screen would be one that allows me to edit photos In my experience, modern cameras are capable of much higher resolutions than this screen, so the fact that it appears pixelated from 2ft away strongly encourages me to think that it may not accurately portray the image your camera took. Generally, this PC should be adequate for basic video editing (such as GoPro or phone videos). Most modern cameras are capable of shooting in 4K these days, but many users still shoot in 1080P (this screen's resolution) because of the larger screen. There is no saving of As such, this screen is perfectly fine, and the fairly quick CPU and SSD would be preferred in this case. Keep in mind, though, that if you shoot 4K you will only be able to view a 1080P version of the In order to make use of the extensive hardware encoding speedup, there is no dedicated graphics card. I tried using the Intel graphics to do some hardware coding for some video exports, but it did not work. There is probably a way to tweak and find modified drivers to make it work better, but I decided not to bother with it The only way you can use hardware encoding on this PC will be to use a dedicated graphics card. You will not be able to grade, edit, export, or do anything else with RED footage on this PC, It is my opinion that the type of media consumption/editing that could be done on this PC could just as well be done on an iPad or Android or Windows tablet. I think most people would benefit from either a new system with a better screen, or a more affordable computer when it comes to productivity tasks. This is how I use it When I purchased this PC, I intended to use it as a replacement for my old Windows laptop, and I think it will fit the bill. I might seem highly critical of a few minor points in the rest of this review, but it is not. Here I am going to describe everything you need to know about this PC in order to determine what matters most to you in your own personal use case, and get an honest perspective on whether the PC will meet Providing a "helpful" mark would mean a lot to me if you found parts of this review useful. STEP 2 SCREEN In this case, there are some pluses and minuses. This phone's screen is made by LG, which is a major plus in my view Panels made by LG are among the best and the company is the OEM for many top-quality There is a touchscreen on this screen as well, and it works Glossy screens are my least favorite for computers, but I do not believe they will be able to make a capacitive touchscreen with a matte finish (I could be wrong here, but I've never seen one). People often like the way colors "pop" on glossy screens, but I find that it can easily become overwhelming after a while It's too saturated for my taste and I prefer the more natural look of a matte screen (and the reduced reflections are As I mentioned, I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I plan on calibrating the screen with an xRite estimator in the near future to see how well it can reproduce color. NOTES
Adjust the screen as follows This PC is not very adjustable, so the screen cannot be positioned in a way that is optimal for you. There is no way to rotate it (unless you pick it up and rotate both the base and machine) There is no way to adjust the height of the monitor There is no way to rotate the screen (so if you want to put it into portrait mode it won't work). In this case the only thing you can adjust is the angle, and even then it does not offer much flexibility If you adjust it from -, you can only do so in negative The temperature should range from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius. It would have been great if this had been able to be adjusted to a horizontal position (parallel to the desk). Since this has been designed with a touchscreen in mind, I think this would have been great. HP could design some family type games that would work well with this layout as it could be used as a large tablet, and would be more amenable to drawing/annotating. The lack of VESA mounting options is another notable omission. the back of the unit had a standard VESA mounting area, I could simply pop it on any number of good monitor stands and it would be compatible with all the monitor stands out there. I hereby RESOLVE It supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 on this PC. this day and age, this is the absolute minimum that can be considered acceptable for a screen of this size. 1440p has been the norm for some time now (particularly on 27" screens), and many manufacturers are moving to 4k or 5k specs for these The 1080p screen is quite disappointing to me, and I am unsure why HP chose to use it. My opinion is that this laptop is at a severe disadvantage in terms of productivity. It's been about a decade since I first used a 27" screen with a 1440p resolution for productivity tasks. I never got used to the reduced resolution of a 1080p screen once I switched. Using the increased resolution makes it so much easier and less tiring to read and write text. With the 1080p screen, some basic video editing will probably be able to be done, but 4K video recording is already becoming quite common for consumer cameras. I find the low resolution of this PC to be its most significant flaw, especially when compared with The software is It was a little disappointing to discover that HP has included a lot of bloatware in the package. With shortcuts to websites like Booking. com in its start menu, I was able to view it quickly. The . dot There was also Netflix. com, Amazon. com, a VPN, a trial version of McAfee (that never even opened), and the entire HP suite of The majority of them were deleted by me. In spite of all this unnecessary fluff, Microsoft Office is not included! You only get a 1 month trial A trial is free, but once the trial ends you need to purchase it. Also, by default, modern Windows OS's send a great deal of information about you and your habits to both Microsoft and HP. Make sure that you understand the setup process so you can turn off all of the reporting you don't want. You can often disregard it and it is enabled by default if you click quick through. The setup process was fairly simple--all devices were completely set up within a couple of minutes. I haven't completed Windows setup since a few years ago, but I know that it has gotten better since then. b) walk you through For people who do not know how to use technology or do not enjoy playing with it, I can see this being very helpful and nice. I would be remiss not to receive a Blue Screen of Death after my first run through the backlog of Windows Updates, as that makes Windows feel like a real person. They have at least made the BSOD more attractive since I'm sure I'll see it more often during the course of time. AREA PERIMETER There is a mouse and keyboard included, but nothing all that special about them. As you can see, they resemble Apple's products quite clearly. As a non-picky user, I don't have a high opinion of the way the keyboard and mouse feel, but I'm happy with the way they work. In fact, I prefer the more compact layout without the full number pad. Desk space at my office is often at a premium, and I'm accustomed to entering numbers by using the numbers above the letters, so I don't like a full number pad. As for the mouse, it also seems fine to me, but I am not a gamer, so I'm not that fussy about mice. It was a bit surprising to see that both the keyboard and mouse used two AAA batteries. As they are following in the footsteps of Apple, it makes sense that they would make their peripherals rechargeable, as they are clearly going for a more premium market. As I eventually grew bored of changing the batteries on my MacBook keyboard and trackpad, I upgraded to their latest models with rechargeable batteries as an alternative. Despite what seems like a minor thing, all the little things about your product line add up to make it feel more premium. The mouse from HP intended to have a premium feeling, but in reality, the effort failed to live up to expectations It is attached to the top of the mouse with three magnets, but the magnets and steel screws they stick on don't line up very well, and getting it apart and back together is not that easy. At first glance, I did not see a USB receiver for the mouse or keyboard since I was not able to find it. I thus assumed the mice and keyboard were Bluetooth until I started disassembling the computer and discovered the dongle hidden inside (see the It is perfectly acceptable to have a built in camera on a web conferencing system, and the image quality is as good as you would want. While it won't win any awards for image quality, it's not necessary for regular PC use to have an ultra high-quality sensor. The way the camera pops in and out of the body to completely block it when it's not in use is also a nice touch. Currently, this is a manual process, and I would have preferred to have it motorized (but that would be something that I would worry would break AREA OF CONNECTIVITY This is a good all-around basic router in terms of connectivity I have only one machine, so it is nothing This is the only USB port I can see, which I find somewhat surprising A port with the designation C. Devices with USB ports are almost exclusively used in the modern world HP is a brand new PC company, so I thought a brand-new PC from them would come with two-way sound The following USB devices are available You can plug in via port C. The HP USB hubs come with four USB ports instead The USB port is the only one of the A ports Though I haven't checked or verified this, I am not convinced that USB-based audio devices have a problem It's also somewhat disappointing that the Thunderbolt protocol isn't supported on the C port. In spite of both Thunderbolt and high-speed USB working with USB, Thunderbolt is a rather new technology that is gaining popularity The primary difference between Thunderbolt and USB is that the PCIe bus is exposed. There are literally no limitations to what you can attach to Thunderbolt devices, and the possibilities are much greater than what you can do with USB, regardless of the connectors or data rates. appreciate the fact that they put one of the USB-powered devices there Ports are located on the side of the machine so that they are easily accessible. I only have a 3-in-1 media card reader, but the Amazon listing indicated that there was also a "3 in 1 media card reader". There's a side SD card slot on this machine. Of course, you could use a microSD card as well An SD card to SD card adapter is necessary if you want to read a microSD card The Amazon listing for this SD card had a lot of errors and I was surprised by them. An example of such a photo is one that shows the ports on Amazon There is a headphone/microphone jack next to the power port. It is actually a headphone jack that can be found on the side of the device just above the side-mounted USB port I can access a port.

NETWORKING This PC has a high speed wifi chip, so I assume it will be used a lot. As new generations of 802. happen all the time, I cannot keep up. There are currently no versions of 11x available, so I am not certain which models are supported by this chip. I was able to connect to my network easily without experiencing any issues, and the speeds seem to be fine. Instead of using a wireless network, I always use hardwired connections when I need a fast and low latency connection. Although I am glad HP included an RJ45 port on this PC, I am a bit dismayed that it was only capable of 1 Gigabit It has been a few years since 10Gb connections were at a price that was affordable to consumers, and I really would have liked to see 10Gb capability added. There is a Thunderbolt port on the C port! A WINDOW POWERDraw The following measurements have all been taken with a Kilroy caliper This device runs at 4 Watts, which isn't the best for precision. The price is rarely out of the ballpark, though. My measurement of power consumption while idle was between 20W and 30W with the screen on. The power consumption of my computer was 55W while I was actively downloading and installing Windows Updates. Even under severe load, the PC will not draw a lot of power. Its power supply is only rated at 120 Watts. At night, the computer used very little power when asleep, fluctuating between 0 and I believe that W4 and 0 are equal. During the daytime, the computer used only 8W! With the computer turned off, I measured between 0 and The difference between 0 and 0 is zero There are four ways to draw a vampire. Intel's newest generation processors are especially good at power management, and this is clearly visible It's nice to have such high numbers of power draws. The component quality is as follows As a whole, HP used good quality components, sourced from reputable manufacturers. While I question some of their product choices (such as networking speed and connectivity ports) they always sourced their parts from reputable sources. In this computer, the SSD comes from Intel, the HDD comes from Western Digital (even the Caviar Black), the RAM is from Samsung, and the screen panel comes It is generally not a problem to use the same manufacturers in my servers as I do in datacenter equipment.

DISASSEMBLING After taking apart this machine, I started to disassemble it to see how serviceable the internal parts are. Despite HP advertising that the RAM is user-serviceable, I determined it could not be. This PC is not swappable. I'm not able to find any information on the company's website or product documentation about how to get it I did not find much information using Google search Over time, I cautiously began to pry panels apart. Disassembling this PC involves taking out the speaker grill, which is held in place by plastic tabs. It is all one piece, and you need to remove the grill first. Because these clips were actually designed to snap apart (unlike many other electronic devices that the manufacturer does not want you to open up), I managed to get the grill off without breaking any of them. Three Phillips screws are used to attach the bottom layer of the screen to the shell once the speaker grill has been removed. It would have been better if Torx was available, but that is an insignificant difference. As soon as these three screws are removed, the rest of the screen can be lifted out of the shell (it is anodized black and is held in by To prevent this from happening, make sure you have a raised support on which to rest the screen, otherwise you will pull on the monitor cable. You can easily access the HDD and memory slots when the screen is flipped out. It is also possible to access the CPU, which appears to be socketed rather than soldered on (in my opinion, this is a positive). In order to access the SSD, you need to remove the metal shielding near the bottom of the PC (there are 5 more screws to remove and the monitor cables must be unplugged HP has marked the size of almost all the screws at the point where they are inserted, and I appreciate this. In the event that you weren't organized when you disassembled it, it's easy to identify which screw goes where and makes identification easier. I haven't found it too easy to get into the machine and change parts out, but it is nowhere near as complicated as the iMac (which requires you to remove/replace adhesive and take apart the entire logic board to replace The shell material consists of the following elements It has a white shell labelled “PC + ABS – a new material for computer models" on the inside. This appears to be polycarbonate with ABS and a fire retardant additive. It doesn't look as nice as the aluminum shell on the iMac, but I still like it. The shell feels quite flexible and flimsy when the screen is not supporting it. The PC's housing isn't meant to be portable, so it won't be subjected to all that much wear. However, it would have been nice to see reinforced plastic such as glass beads or fiber to increase the plastic's strength and durability. Accordingly, as it stands now, the thin glass screen serves as more of a support and structure for the plastic shell than vice versa. THE SPEAKERS ARE It is HP's policy to advertise its speakers and how they are designed by Beyerdynamic They don't seem to be all that great to me. B & B There are some great speakers made by O, but these aren't among them. As far as I am concerned, these are B&D It's a shame that O allows these collaborations to dilute its brand. The speakers are better than what you'd find on a standard laptop, but they are not particularly noteworthy. The sound is not all that great, but they get loud. Maybe most people will enjoy these, but I don't. Maybe some people have rather high standards in audio, so maybe I'm the exception. The wireless charging process consists of three steps You can access the on-line menu by clicking on it The display for turning on and off wireless charging intrigued me, so I placed my finger on it. It is very efficient to have some HP computers include a wireless charger in the base, as it helps to utilize space better. It really caught my attention when I heard about it, however this model does not meet my expectations. Although the feature is turned on via the OSD, I was not able to charge an iPhone (yes, I tested with another phone that I already know is capable). The stock Amazon listing photo shows a small LED in the base - you can see it in the stock photo for this item on Amazon The LED on the wireless charger is supposed to show its status. This LED is not present on the computer I received. Therefore, I am forced to believe there has been either a serious quality control error, and this machine became incorrectly assemble without the wireless charger, or there are some faults with the listing photos. The HP website does not have any details regarding the PC I bought since it seems to be a brand new model.

You're the best! This computer has been a godsend to me
5/5

Almost all of the work is done for you. There is no space taken up by this. In the box, there is only one piece of paper. The manuals are nowhere to be found! CDs of software are not available! The tower is not there! You do not need any an E-mail subscription that had been in place for 7 years So far, I feel like I've traveled back 100 years with my PC that has Windows 7.

The bigger and taller you are, the less good you can usually do
3/5

The unit had two issues that I did not realize until after I had it installed at my home. 1) I wear progressive lenses. On first turning the screen on, I noticed that it sat considerably higher than my face, glasses, and frames. Because of the large screen, I was lifting my chin to read anything because the screen fills the entire area. 2) Here are a few tips for you It is not included in these measurements the actual base size of the computer (12-" The dimensions of this are 1/2 x 8 It is important to determine where you want your computer to be situated.

There are some great features, but the keyboard ruins it all! It is my third day since I bought the computer, and I'm ready to return it after I've wasted three days to get it working
5/5

With the keyboard style in particular, I could not reconcile my biases. My hands are big, which makes it hard for me to do things smoothly. There is no F- in it as well A key. It is impossible for a keyboard to have an F-key What's the key? In addition, these computers didn't come with instructions about how to configure the equipment, where the camera is located, and how to use the on-board cameras The thing I finally figured out was how to insert batteries into the mouse, etc. Nevertheless, I figured out some of these things by playing The F- must be addressed, however Keys, it could be possible to emulate them, but no instruction was given to that effect. What's a man Regardless of how much I may hate to return the item, I cannot endure the thought of living with the negative aspects for quite some time to come. As a result, I contacted the seller, and he agreed to pay for a keyboard replacement. I am now quite attached to my My old AMD system was obsolete and I purchased the new one to replace it It is an old computer I acquired a few years ago (2012) and it has been sluggish ever since. Investing in this computer is a worthwhile investment because it has incredible speed. A movie or news broadcast can be viewed on this screen in the highest resolution. There are a few essential accessories that have been omitted, but it still offers most basic computing functions. I have had a wonderful experience so far with this I'm in love with.

Style, elegance, and easy setup are common characteristics of this device
5/5

The very basics of audio production are handled by it VO tracks and some basic mixing were all that was required. There is no better computer for that than this one. With the large screen, I can easily see all of my tracks and the speed allows me to easily move, mix, and cut my tracks without experiencing any I really enjoy watching this video Having 4K on your screen looks amazing. Upon recognizing a face, the system works immediately. We have no problems listening to the speakers. Although their sound is nice and full, they don't satisfy me Because they are all in one parts, if you're expecting out of this world sound, you won't There is no problem with it. A TILT SCREEN is awesome for using the webcam you can easily turn it. In which all the details are There is no grain in the pictures, but they are not HD quality. The majority of job situations can be handled with this. It works just fine with the touchscreen I may use it, but I am not certain I will. Using Cortana as a desktop setup tool took less than ten minutes from unboxing to using the device. I am satisfied with this in general The computer is of high quality, with plenty of memory and speed to do all that I want. Besides looking very stylish in my office, it is also easy to use.
