do not use heat sinks to mount led strips. Just a bit.. Sorry, but no.
For some years now, I've used this on my PS4. Maybe I'll stop using it someday. Gelid solid is the program I use right now

It is an entirely different shade of blue and it has an uneven texture. This was the last of my larger 12g tube after using up just about all of my smaller Lighter in color and runny, this stuff is difficult to work with. The picture illustrates how different they are. Even in the picture you can see how different they are. In the top paste, some watered down ceramic paste is applied. The bottom paste is actual Arctic Silver The scam has been totally exposed, and I now have four tubes of garbage in my hands.
Not made by Arctic Silver. As a result of applying thermal paste to my computer, I noticed that my temperatures were higher by about 15C I removed the heatsink and found that the paste scratched both my CPU and heatsink, to the point where I can feel them! It appears that the bottle I got from Amazon is a significant difference from the old bottle of Arctic Silver. The product you are buying is not the real thing!.
There is something wrong with the texture. This virus does not spread in the same way as Arctic Silver. There is no Arctic Silver in this. Buying is not a good idea! References can be found in the pictures! In support of my computer repair business which we use since 2001, I own and operate Arctic Silver. On the left you can see my old tube that was running out that was labeled Arctic Silver 5 and then on the right you can see the fake Arctic Silver 5 that also was labeled Arctic Silver 5.
I believe that this item is a cheap knock-off of Arctic Silver 5, as other buyers have reported here. The compound is lighter and thinner than my last tube of Arctic Silver 5. As of this writing, the temperature of my system (dual Xeon V3) has reached 65C. I was expecting it to be a bit cooler. It was a fake tube. I have to get another tube from someone selling a genuine product. Amazon needs to do better at getting rid of these counterfeit items.
As far as I am aware, Arctic Silver products have been available since Through the years, I have been in contact with Arctic Silver (no number), 2, 3, and 5. The Arctic Silver processor is the best choice for your processor if you want it to operate at the lowest temperature possible (when you consider the limitation of the heatsink and air circulation). There is no doubt that heat is the biggest killer of computer components (HD, CPU, Memory, etc. ). The lifespan of any component can be greatly increased by anything that reduces heat. Having adequate air flow is the most important aspect but when it comes to transferring heat from your CPU to the air flow, the thermal compound (Arctic Silver 5) excels in transferring heat from the CPU to the Heatsink/Fan and then to The more I have learned over the years, the better it is. Applied to the CPU surface, the thinnest continuous layer (without gaps in the material) of Arctic Silver provides the best level of heat transfer performance. You can achieve a superthin layer by practicing, putting in some time, and practicing until you achieve the required skill set. It is difficult to find a thermal compound that is as effective as Arctic Silver, and the superior performance that it exhibits hour after hour, day after day, and year after year is hard to match. Since there is no need to reapply thermal compound due to age, if you keep the heatsink relative to the CPU, you should not need to reapply it after a few years. It's just great stuff! Arctic Silver 5 is just the best!.
On all my electronics (laptops, routers, etc), I replace the thermal paste around once per year, and I I feel like I'm working with magic with this stuff. In 2008, when I applied the new paste to my wife's 2008 MacBook Pro (anyone remember Nvidia's controversy/recall? It ran about ten minutes when the laptop was off Although the computer was running 15° C cooler than it had been, the improvement in its visual appearance was It's great to know that I can now ensure that my thermal paste is nice and clean on all my electronics, and they last longer than most people would assume they would.
Into a ziplock bag goes thermal paste, and then into a shipping box goes the Packages and protection are not present. I noticed the needle end of one of the needles had become disconnected as soon as I opened the box. Two of the needles fell out when the two needles were taken out of the bag. I was able to retain most of the compound in the remainder of the needle despite some compound leaking out. This is not a product I would recommend because of the way that it is shipped. It is likely that most customers will be fine, however I would imagine quite a few customers include baggies full of compound and mostly empty needles in their order. I found the product to be true to its assertions, and did not have any reason to believe that it was a scam.
It has been nearly 20 years since I first used Arctic Silver. I consider it to be the best thermal paste on the market. Throughout the years I have been able to drop temperatures on a variety of hardware by a few degrees. It's possible to use arctic silver to help cool a processor, or even a video card, if their cheap paste doesn't work well. The temperature drop will not always be as big if you used a decent paste and applied it correctly. As a consequence, you will notice how much more resistant your system is to heat because of better surface contact. Often, this can result in a slight enhancement in overclocking, etc. What's key is knowing the paste is helping, not restricting the thermal contact. Polar Silver has been tested and used in many countries throughout the world for years. Although there are probably others that offer similar performance, I've always known that Arctic Silver can keep my home at a comfortable temperature.
