Questions & Answers

Do you have a set that fits my Asus strix gtx 1080 Ti?

My 980ti strix worked perfectly with this card and I read that it would also work on a 1080. I like the way the fans work

Is there a connection to the three connectors on this fan?

The answer is yes. The connectors are the same as the photo, 4 pins, 5 pins, and 6 pins

Is there a connection to the three connectors on this fan?

The fan you see here is the "A" fan and it does have all three

Many reviewers report that these fans do not spin down, and they are always on full blast?

If your graphics card isn't hot enough, they will not spin. When you are playing games with it, it only rotates when you actually use it.

My ASUS gave me a hard time
5/5

This is a 1080 ti Strix owner who has replaced fan A, and I'm here to tell the story of why he got the card. In case you just want to know whether you should buy this or not, I'll sum it up first. ***- A tiny philips screwdriver was all that was needed to install in less than five minutes. I am* *br* Ordered within a few days, and it arrived within a few days. Although it is not an upgrade from stock, it is a perfectly good replacement for the 1080ti in need of upgrading. Please note It looks almost stock, but it is missing the sticker (if you put the old stock sticker on, so would almost no one notice it)

Now that I have explained what happened, let me explain how it A few hours after I turned on my computer one morning, I heard what sounded like a screw falling inside the As soon as I walked in, the fan that had a single blade extending from the opposite side was creating an incredible amount of noise. Turning off the computer and inspecting Fan A, I discovered that there were two broken fan blades (according to the product listing). According to my theory, the first one broke, and the second one was also broken by the broken blade. My frustration continued. I still had not identified the culprit, but I still had a problem. As a result, I got in touch with ASUS, and asked them a series of questions to determine the cost of the repair. My response was that I was aware there was unlikely to be any damage, and it just would be an out-and-out error The fan will be replaced as part of the warranty. Never once did they give me any gifts. In spite of the fact that I explicitly asked them just to quote just replacing the fan, they continually told me they couldn't offer me any sort of estimate until they knew exactly the damage Not a thing. The whole experience was unexciting to me, but I didn't want to spend $200+ on it at the time It would have cost me about $300 to switch to some form of watercooling, so I thought this to be the The GPU cost me $15 to ship to them, and I waited there until it arrived. From the moment I saw the parcel arrive until I heard back about the quote, I had almost 5 days. Their preliminary report stated only that the fan blade was damaged (what a surprise). But the real surprise was the cost of repair $820. Yes, they only listed that single fan to be replaced on the invoice, and I would have to pay $790 plus tax for it. This was the first time I was by myself and I was stunned that I just paid less for this card than what they're charging To remind them not to complete the repair, I wrote them a very nicely worded email, in which I instructed them not to complete the repair. Basically, the response I got was from a bot. My card then got shipped back to me, but I decided I'd try some replacement fans before trying some form of watercooling for it. I bought the full set at a discount, and waited for my card to be delivered. After opening up the box with my GPU inside, I had this aftermarket fan inside the shroud, just waiting for me. I installed it and tested it out within 5 minutes. see it didn't spin as fast as the stock fans, but since the difference was in the region of $800, I didn't complain, I just wanted the fan to work well enough to get my GPU working again. This certainly is sufficient for the task at hand. In fact, this is not something you should think about upgrading, as if anything they are just marginally worse than You may possibly get ripped off by ASUS into paying hundreds of dollars to replace your computer, but when you consider that you will have to pay them thousands for nothing? cannot picture a world in which going through them would be a viable decision. As a whole, I was saved from being scammed by ASUS out of $800 and my GPU. As I was going through my own process, I thought I would share my new experiences in hopes that they can help someone who may be going through something similar. The chance that I shoot myself in the foot and break it again, because of this very tale, makes me want to order another one.

There is a manufacturing defect in the fans, but they are good fans
3/5

This was corrected for free by the vendor. My ROG Strix 1080 was almost completely worn out, so I purchased a pack of all three fans to replace them. The A) circuit is miswired (close-up, see In the end, I was able to fix my system by using the miswired fan instead of the old one, but now I'm going to have to get a new one- I don't relish the idea of having to replace that specific fan, so I have to work on It again. A UPDATED VERSION As a result of my contact with the vendor, I have received a The A was correctly wired and I have had time to use it for a week to be able to say that it works very Due to the resolution of my issue, I have increased my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. Due to the amount of work I needed to do to diagnose the issue and document the situation as well as work to resolve it, I didn't think 4 or 5 stars were appropriate. My chances of getting 2 are pretty good There are 4 additional hours of manual intervention as a result of the defect that is a considerable deficit. However, it all worked out in the end. have a set of fans that are performing as expected.

A great replacement for my out-of-date OEM one, but it's not perfect
3/5

I bought a Fan C to replace it after the out-of-date In terms of fan control, the replacement works fine and can be controlled likewise via Asus One of the downsides to the fan is that it never stops Such a card would have passive cooling (the fans only spin when the temperature increases), defeating the purpose of such a card. It might make sense to use the Asus GPU tweak software to set the fan curves so all fans run at a minimum speed. In the case of the new fan, have all the fans running at once, since it doesn't stop, and everything looks better and helps reduce OCD symptoms.

The original is still as effective as before
5/5

I use this fan and do not notice any difference in volume between it and the stock fan. The wires are of exactly the right length, which is important. It can be difficult to route the wires on a heatsink if they are either too long or too short. After removing and reinstalling the PCMCIA card, the installation took about a half hour. However, the process is a lot simpler than it appears. The final advantage is that it is less than half the price of the original replacement, so on the whole this is the best option.

The ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB is up and running again
5/5

On eBay, I bought a video card with a damaged fan blade. I bought this to replace the fan blade on the video card. There was no way to just balance this fan because it was an 11-blade model. I have no problems installing it and it works.

Replaces a device that has a defect, but is a good alternative
4/5

After breaking the fan bearing due to too much air pressure coming from my air cleaner, I recently had to replace the C fan on my Asus Rog Strix 1080 TI. Despite its easy installation, this new fan replacement proved to be quite durable. I have noticed that it keeps my GPU temperature low. It is only now that the fan never stops spinning that I have a complaint. I worry that it may not be monitoring the software fan control of the GPU when it's constantly running. This is because when the GPU is overclocked I like to keep my GPU temperatures at a certain range. In order to determine the fan's rpm increase with increasing temperature of the GPU, I need to test it again. As with fans B and A, we hope this fan increases its speed as well.

I tested this on a 1080 Ti Strix and it worked perfectly
5/5

There have been no weird noises or weird temperatures on the fan since day one. It has only been a day, but so far everything has been working fine without any issues. A sticker with the same design as the original. Even though only one fan was broken, I probably should have replaced all three instead of just the damaged one, because this newly replaced fan is now faster than the others. I can tell when the PC shuts off that there's some momentum left over. A good product.

Update after a month or so The software is still working perfectly, I highly recommend it.
