Questions & Answers

Do you think this is going to fit my asus strix 1080 Ti graphics card?

As I understood it, it should work with a 1080 as well, since it fit my 980ti Strix. It appears that the fans are functioning properly

Do you know whether the fan actually comes with ?

You're right, of course. The photo shows a 4 pin, a 5 pin, and a 6 pin connector.

Do you know whether the fan actually comes with ?

The single fan in this case is the "A" fan, and it supports all three

There is no spindown on these fans, but they are full blast 100% of the time according to reviews?

If the graphics card isn't hot enough, the fans won't spin. It rotates only while it is actually being used, for example, when you are

I felt like ASUS took advantage of me
5/5

My name is Ken and I own a 1080Ti Strix. I replaced fan A and am here to tell you my story. You can read my summary of whether you should get it or not if you just want to know what to expect. The screws were installed with a tiny philips head screwdriver in less than 5 minutes. Please note Br>- The package was delivered within a couple days of ordering* - The card is not a replacement for the stock 1080ti, but it is fine if you are replacing it. Please note Br>- You could probably replace it with the original stock sticker, and no one would notice (if you add the old one, almost no one will notice). One morning, I heard what I thought was a screw falling from the inside of my computer case within an hour of turning it on. As soon as I turned on the fan, I heard noises coming from the opposite end as a single sliver was exposed. When I turned off the computer and examined the problem, there ended up being two broken fan blades on Fan A (based on the order for this product). In my opinion, one of these blades has broken, and then the broken blade broke the other. My irritation was growing as I still hadn't located the culprit, but I still needed to fix something. As soon as I got in touch with ASUS, I asked them over a series of emails how much they estimated the repair would cost given the circumstances. assured them that there wouldn't be any other damage, and that it would just be a matter of time before they would find out about it A replacement fan is included in the warranty. There was never anything they gave me. However, they refused to give me any estimate unless they knew how much damage had occurred. Consequently, when I explicitly asked just for a quote for the replacement of one fan, I was given the following information Not a thing. While I was angry, at the time of this purchase, I didn't want to spend $200-$300 In the end, I felt this was my best option since I would have missed out on $300 on switching to watercooling. In the end, I paid $15 for them to ship me the GPU, and then My order arrived almost five days after I saw it, and I had to wait nearly five days before I received a quote. It may come as a surprise that the only damage listed on their report was the fan blade (which was a real shock. ) But the actual surprise, That's right, they listed only that single fan to be replaced on the invoice, and getting it replaced would cost me $790 plus tax. My jaw dropped. I was actually dumbfounded to find out I paid less for this card than for the fan replacement that they wanted to charge me. As I explained to them not to complete the repairs, to return the card, and I sent them a lovely email, they decided not to complete the repair. I received a response from a bot. I then found these replacement fans, and decided to go with them before attempting any form of watercooling for the card. I bought the complete set, considering the possibility of paying for shipping, and then waited for my card to be delivered. I had this aftermarket fan inside the shroud in a matter of minutes after opening the box with my GPU inside, and I installed it as soon as I could to test it. While I could see that it did not spin quite as well as the stock fans, I wasn't going to complain about an $800 price difference, I just wanted it to work enough so that I could once again use my graphics card. I would say it's more than enough for that purpose. In fact, this is not a thing that you should upgrade since they are no better than the stock fans, in fact they are worse on average. Do you realize that ASUS will try to rip you off just to get replaced by them and get hundreds of dollars in the process? By going through them, I don't see how it could be a viable solution to any problem. As a result, I was able to avoid ASUS swindling me out of $800, as well as my GPU. The purpose of my story is to share my experiences in the hope that if anyone in the same condition as I am can be helped by them. The fact that I managed to break that one myself is tempting me to order another, just in case I break it again due to.

It is a good fan, but there is a MAJOR manufacturing defect
3/5

The vendor corrected the error for free. For replacing the fans on my ROG Strix 1080 that had almost worn out, I purchased all three fans in one pack. The A) circuit (see photo) is miswired. By using the old fan instead of the miswired one, I was able to get my system up and running, but unfortunately this means I'll have to buy a different fan This means I have to rework the replacement work for that particular fan, which I am not particularly fond of. I am updating My vendor provided me with a free replacement fan after I contacted them As of today, I've been using a which was correctly wired and has been working well for a week. I'm pleased that my situation was resolved and have rated it 3 stars in lieu of 2 stars. It wasn't worthy enough for me to give this review a 4 or 5 star rating given the amount of work I needed to complete to diagnose and document the problem. Two are probably in my possession As a result of the defect, it took four extra hours of manual work to rectify the defect. Nevertheless, it all came down to this My expectations were met when I got a working set of fans.

My oem fan stopped working so I bought an alternative to replace it
3/5

Bought this because it's a great alternative. In this case, the replacement fan works perfectly and is controlled the same way through the ASUS There is only one downside to the fan, and that is that it never stops Putting a card with passive cooling (fans do not spin unless temperatures rise) to use in this manner defeats the whole purpose. The solution I would propose would be to set the fan curve with asus gpu tweak software to a minimum rpm and then have each fan run continuously. Because the replacement fan doesn't cease to run, just let them all run at the same time. This will make everything look better and help relieve OCD.

The original text is as effective as the translation
5/5

No noise seems to have been caused by this fan, unlike the stock fan. The wires are of the correct length, which is more important. On the heatsink, if the length or the shortness of the wires were too great, routing them would be tricky. It only took about a half an hour to complete installation, including taking out and replacing the card, and the process is a lot simpler than it seems. Lastly, it would cost less than half as much as the original replacement, so overall it is a wise decision to replace it.

It seems that the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB has been restored to work again
5/5

A video card that I bought on eBay arrived with a busted fan blade I bought this fan blade to replace it. Just balancing out the 11 blade fan would not work since it is an 11 blade fan. I had no issues installing the software and it works perfectly.

It is a good replacement, but it A high strength air cleaner caused my Asus Rog Strix 1080 TI C fan to break after too much vacuum pressure from the cleaner caused the bearing to break
4/5

I had no trouble installing this new fan replacement. I have noticed a drop in GPU temperatures thanks to it. The only complaint I have is that the fan never stops spinning. The reason for that is because, if it is constantly running, the software fan control is not being read, which is a concern to me because I like to maintain a certain range of temperatures when overclocking the GPU. To determine if the fan increases its rpm as the GPU heats up, I still must test this. As such, let us hope that this fan increases its speed like the A and B fans do.

I tested it on my 1080 Ti Strix and it worked perfectly
5/5

I've only had it a day, but so far the fan has been working great without any issues. No weird noises are coming from it and temperatures are ok. I had the same sticker as the one that came with the car. It seems that i should have replaced all three rather than just the broken one, since this fan now has a much more intense spin than the others. I can tell when it shuts off it still has a bit of power left over the other two. I'm happy with it. After a month or so, here's an update I would definitely recommend it as it still works flawlessly.
