The fans are smaller than the Sapphire 7970 GHz edition fans I have, but are still very capable. The card should be kept cooler by keeping the environment quiet.

I noticed that one of the fans on my five year old Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming stopped working, and this caused hot spots on the graphics card during gaming. The three fans on the card were replaced with these new ones in about an hour by me and my son after I bought this replacement set of fans. As a result of making changes, the new fans are even quieter and more durable than the originals they have a strong Now that the GPU is again working normally, it is fully functional. For an hour, we ran a torture text benchmark on the fixed graphics card, and the temperatures remained normal and the card ran cool and quiet. I like the replacements very much! The 970 uses 3 pin connectors (non-pwm, these are pwm fans), so I had to remove the wires from the old connector and use the ground, 12v, and sense wire from this kit with the old connector, but it worked just fine. There are two types of connectors one with four wires and one with three. On the 3 pin (looking at the female board with the notch down) is ground, then 12V, after which is the A 4 pin board has a ground, 12v, sense, and power pin on the right and the power pin.

There are no errors, and everything works except that one of the fans has a whirring, grinding sound when it is idle, so I replaced it with one of my original fans that was still working, and it is now quiet on my card. A torn fan from an original fan necessitated the purchase of these.

This is an excellent 980 ti replacement that runs cooler and quieter. There was a problem with one of my old fans. In order to replace the old thermal paste, the heatsink must be removed. Ensure you have thermal paste on hand. This fan reduced the card's temperature by about 5 degrees when compared with the previous fan.
