When I turned on or off the middle fan on my Gigabyte GTX 1660 Windforce 3x Gaming OC, it made a vibrating noise. Despite the fact that these fans aren't advertised as such, I checked the specifications and they appeared to be identical. My middle fan was inverted, but they're all the same, so it doesn't really matter. One of the fans had a slightly bent screw in tab, but I believe it would still work; I didn't use that one because I only needed one. Once re- When the fan is fully assembled, it runs smoothly and makes no noise. I'm giving it four stars because it does everything it says it does, but there are some minor flaws in the quality. Depending on your GPU, you may need to disassemble it and reapply thermal paste to the direct chip, as I did, so proceed with caution.
I was apprehensive about doing this because I despise dismantling small computer components because there's always the risk of something breaking. Having said that, it wasn't all that bad. In comparison to a standard PC build, this one is a little more involved. However, these fans do their job. Although they were not the exact Gigabyte number, the description stated that they would work with my card, which they did. It was a perfect fit and functioned flawlessly. They move in a smooth motion. 40°C at rest / 67°C at maximum With a GPU temperature of 95°C, 70°C is the maximum. 99% strain % Very well done! I was previously spiking at 95C and dropping frames into the 20s when using stock fans. Now that no one has an RTX 3080, this has given my PC a new lease on life.
My original 1070's ball bearings were wearing out, and when I played games, I heard a horrible rattling noise. I was able to refurb the GPU with these fans using a video guide, and the noise level has significantly decreased. br>br>Lose one star because one of the new fans isn't working properly; there's a slightly louder hum coming from one of the three I can't figure out, but it's still quieter than the old ones.
This kit was critical for me because I have a Gigabyte GTX1070 Ti, and two of the three fans were bad, so I replaced them with this kit. However, when I first swapped the fans out for the new ones, I used the included three-way series cable, and I completely lost control of the fan speed control, the fans would ramp to 100%, and the stop fan light on the card was illuminated. I swapped out the three-way series cable for my original one, and everything worked fine.
The fans in my son's GPU stopped working, so I decided to replace the fans in his old one (which was overheating) because of the market and graphics cards. br>br>Removing the old fans was a pain (had to disassemble the entire gpu, sigh), but once I fixed the card, everything was fine.
These were used to replace the OEM Alienware (Dell) 6800XT fans, which were loud and ineffective. These were much quieter, and they lowered the temperature of the cards by more than 10 degrees. The fans were of good quality and the specs were as advertised. RPMs maxed out at around 4000.
These were identical to the OEM fans in terms of part number, manufacturer, and so on. They were an excellent value and worked flawlessly on my Gigabyte 980ti Windforce!.
My graphics card is a Gigabyte 1070 G1, and the fans work perfectly and have the Gigabyte logo on them. They arrive in excellent condition. br>br>My card is a Gigabyte 1070 G1, and the fans are in perfect working order, with the Gigabyte logo on them. They arrive in excellent condition.
