Questions & Answers

Could you please let me know whether I should purchase this or the Noctua NF-N Thanks so much. ?

As long as there are no filters or obstructions in the vicinity of your fan location, the S12a will be the right choice. However, if you see any sort of filter, or obstructions, the NF- will be the best choice. Posted in P12 Many recent reviews of the P12 have noted that it does the job just as well as the F12 in a resistance based location while producing less noise while the F12 is better suited for heatsinks requiring higher RPM. My personal setup includes 3 type-A fans such as an F12 on my CPU heatsink, 2 P12 fans as intakes that are hidden behind dust filters, and an S12a exhaust fan. I previously used 2 S12a fans as intakes but they were too noisy.

Are there any differences between the FLX, ULN, and PWM ?

Currently, PWM is considered to be the most popular Those who want to blow a little extra air while staying quiet and keeping up with a mild overclock can also use these 4 pin fans. The ULF is designed to reach users who are averse to This is the dynamic fan. It can be set to run at a little higher or lower wattage and can push air a little higher or lower. Honestly, I don't see any reason to switch from PWM to anything else. Lastly, they include a free adapter to reduce the voltage if for some insane reason the already super quiet fan fails to meet your needs.

Can you tell me the CFM at the minimum and maximum rpm?

Depending on the RPM, there are different performance curves CFM at a minimum static pressure is best, CFM at a maximum static pressure is worst, and then there are

What kind of fans are these? Do they have sealed bearings?

Here's an excerpt from the FAQ for Noctua NB In order to ensure flawless performance over many years of use, every Noctua fan is equipped with a premium-grade SSO bearing, which is completely sealed to prevent micro-particles from entering.

Installed two The S12A PWM serves as both an intake and exhaust fan. The sound level is almost undetectable once a proper fan profile is set in your BIOS, and the airflow is great. In addition to a RTX 2080ti, I experienced 80+ FPS during my game C. 84. As soon as I added the Noctua intake fan, my temperature dropped by 10 degrees The 12th century. This is definitely a worthwhile investment. I tend not to hear complaints about the performance or quality of these fans, but about their Probably the same idiots who restore their PCs to the condition they were in for a few years Lighted holiday trees with RGB LEDs. A PC build's quality has been influenced by colors of components even before they were considered a factor? Would you be able to get me a Ferrari in pink! It seems that Noctua has finally caved and now makes the characters

In the exhaust version, it is S12A). Compared to A11, A12 has a higher static pressure rating, which made a considerable difference in NF-K doesn't need to be installed since I do not have a radiator, dust filter or any obstruction that would need to be replaced There are several reasons to choose A12 - There was enough impedance to make a difference for optimal airflow under load, as it turned out. It is similar at idle (no difference). The NF-P6 is ideal for those not gaming extensively or doing other intensive computing tasks This will be a perfect fit for S12A. Additionally, in my case, the cooler was not only quieter under high loads, but also cooler overall DB meter tested (on hard drive). Fans are comparable if you compare The A12 has at least as much torque as the S12A has at a similar rpm (torque vs. You may get a better result from one over the other depending on your PC case and your objective. When that is the case, it will perform better.

I am quiet, but I am The Noctua fans are well known by builders as some of the best fans on the market Quiet performance is possible through a variety of options
5/5

A number of Noctua's products can be found from CPU coolers (static), to CPU fans (air flow), and hybrids in between. There are many projects I have used Noctua 120mm, 140mm, 40mm, and 92mm fans for. Cases and CPUs have both been fitted with 120mm and 140mm fans. This is the 92mm lens that I use to take pictures with an The fans move a lot of air (or static pressure), maintaining cool temperatures and quiet operation regardless of the application. A fan such as this is called a A PWM signal with S12A 4-pins Noctua suggests that the Noctua 4 pin (there is also a 3 pin model), works well as a case fan that delivers a good amount of air to the case. It does come with mounting grommets and the extra cables for speed reduction, but I do not like the colors of its fans. There is a gray version called "redux", but it performs a little worse and does not come with mounting grommets. There is also a static pressure version of Noctua's products (particularly for CPU coolers and radiators), as well as a hybrid version that works for either application (static or airflow). I have purchased a number of these fans, and would continue to do so. As you can see in this particular case, I purchased these for use on an Ultra Gladiator mid-range For the front I am using a Core i5-based monitor, and for the rear I have an older Core i7 unit The machine is a 4770K (no overclock). A couple also came in handy when building a new AMD Ryzen 5 3400G system in an Antec 900 case with 1/2 front fans (one was an LED so I could tell from afar when it was active) and one at the back. With these fans, the temperatures in all cases are well controlled and they are very There are several brands I have used before Antec, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, Deep Cool, Cryorig, and Bequiet! A fan of a name brand Almost all of them are quieter, but Noctua has the edge. The others might be just as quiet or even closer if not the quietest by far. Its quiet operation, along with its good performance, makes it a good choice for someone looking for good performance.

I have now made Noctua my go-to The wind blows or doesn't blow depending on the direction you're facing

My rebuild for the cooling of my computer case will be using Noctua fans after seeing how popular they have become since my last computer build. While cheaper fans do exist, you definitely get what you pay for. These are more expensive than other models of fans. As a Noctua user, you will receive a highly efficient fan that moves a lot of air quietly without making a sound. You will also get a cable splitter, an extension, a silicone mounting device, and The problem is- The problem is- The former is deadlier, however I prefer the latter). In the end, I had to use a total of five fans to cool my case (3x120mm, 2x140mm), which was somewhat excessive to some, but I was really tired of the way my old fans would spin up under load and make more noise than I was comfortable with. The following is on a modern mid-range CPU with an overclocked CPU I hear most of the noise coming from the air itself moving into the case through the magnetic dust filters in a smaller ATX case with a mid-range GPU. The fans don't whine at all.
They are easy to install in the same manner as any other fan.
Since you've already installed one, you've already installed many. As a result, I did not use the silicone mounts and just used the screws because I preferred having an easier time removing the fans rather than allowing them to run quietly. As a design goal, I'm not after complete quiet, just mostly quiet, and the metal screws do just fine As far as fans are concerned, I prefer the PWM versions because these can then be controlled by the motherboard, auto on, auto off. I will definitely buy more of these fans when I buy my next computer, once my current one wears out.
