We had it only a few days and it would only read disks half of the time. One time it would work and the next it would not. This POS would cut out whenever I was in the middle of downloading. Would not recommend that you buy it.

My MacBook Air will use this keyboard. The optical drive does not seem to want to work in High Sierra, the operating system I'm currently using. Upon arrival, there was no visible damage to the item. The USB cable is hooked up to my computer My computer recognizes CD and DVD drives through the USB port and even tells me what the title of the disk is when I insert a CD or DVD. As soon as I click on the viewer, it will say that it is not permitted, followed by another window taking me to a selection screen. The drive is set to Region 1 by default, which is why all of my disks are written for it, yet nothing can be played. Multiple disks were tested with the same result. After refreshing my Macbook, according to the directions in the user guide that I received by email, neither of those actions helped. They never responded to my customer service request, so now I'm returning it for a full.

A Mac allows me to digitize my old CD collection. This can only be done at a speed of 8x using iTunes. My MacBook Pro (2017) doesn't seem as fast as I would have liked, but it works well with my computer and I can let it run in the background while I am working. Despite this, Mac users do not need any drivers. I used it straight out of the box, and it worked great! Besides DVDs, I haven't tested any other media.

The player was shipped in a padded travel case, so I felt that the seller and manufacturer were professional right from the start. As soon as I'd selected my region of the world (that was super easy), I pressed play on the DVD. This is also a very easy process. I was able to eject without issue and get a quality picture. The drive has been a problem from the beginning. I have a 2019 Mac Book Pro without a DVD/CD drive, so I purchased this "highly" rated drive. The drive has consistently failed to work well He is extremely sensitive about opening the DVD case to load it. As a result, it can no longer be opened. It is not possible to provide technical support It is real. There is something I don't like about this product and I I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY THIS FRAUD.

When technology changes, this is what happens. Now that my computer has no internal hard drive, I have no option but to use my collection of CDs and DVDs, and I'm resisting the idea of investing in a player for my new living room My initial thought was that the product would be a good solution, but after owning it for 3 months with very little use, it no longer worked. This resulted in the device being rendered useless since it could not power on nor open. Having seen other reviews that mentioned the same problem, I was hesitant to purchase it, but hey, we're at the point now where it's rare for any Amazon product to escape negative reviews, so I took the chance to buy it. In order to ensure that those who complain before fully exploring their options are aware that the warranty on this device is 2 years, and the company is very gracious about honoring it. The Amazon listing includes an email address you can use to get in touch with them. My plug and play device wouldn't play when plugged in, so I sent them a video and a new one was shipped to me. The following is the full version. Hopefully my second device will provide better service than the first.

I had bought a few different cd/dvd burning devices and they wouldn't work with it. Does not have any problems playing DVDs. I can upload music to iTunes with no problems. Although I don't see how it could be unable to do so, I work within an industry where data CDs are given to me regularly, so hopefully this will be able to read them and extract the information. (I haven't tested this part yet, but will update my review if any problems arise).
