Questions & Answers

Will I be able to use this with a nice monitor as a home computer for writing documents and browsing the web?

I guess it would not be an issue, and LibreOffice isn't so bad either. However, if you plan to do a lot of browsing / Excel / Word, you will be far better off upgrading to the Raspberry Pi 4b 4GB, which is much more than enough.

Does the fan have a specific size? How big is it? Does it go down to 40mm?

A 30mm square by a 30mm square by a 7mm square

Well then. My eye just caught the fact that it states it's a type C charger. In accordance with the Pi 4 type C standard, the Pi 3b+ uses a type B connector. Are both included in the package?

There is no type C connector on the charger, but instead a micro USB connector. There may be an indication of compatibility with amperage rating by referencing type C.

When the fan is running, how much power does it consume?

There are three options for you to choose from. Both 5 and 5 are acceptable. In some cases, 0 volts may be needed, depending on how you wire up the fan. A fan spins faster on 5 than it does on 4. You have zero. The instruction for assembly is included in the manual.

This is the best case I've seen for Raspberry Pis
5/5

There is nothing better than this case. I highly recommend this case for the Raspberry Pi 3b+ as it fits the Raspberry Pi 3b+ perfectly. As an unusual feature, it includes a fan, which reaches almost absolute silent even at the highest of its two speeds. Using my multimeter, I found that the supplied power supply generates a voltage of 5 volts almost exactly. It also has a switch on the power cable, so it's easier to turn the pi on and off without fiddling with the cable. As a result of a stress test (calculating a large number of prime numbers) with a pi without a case, the CPU peaked at 71 degrees Celsius. When the fan was set to maximum speed (5V), the average temperature inside the case reached 53 degrees, while it reached 59 degrees when set to The third voltage). All in all, the case and power supply impress me. A kit of these will be purchased for each of the pi systems I intend to give to students in an upcoming introductory computer class. The following is an edit for 12/12/18. Earlier this year, another version of this case became available to the public that is just as good and easier My recommendation is to check it out.

This is one of the best cases you can buy
5/5

A+ for this purchase. Support from Miuezi is excellent. This case caught my attention since it has a fan and I just bought my Raspberry PI 3 B+ from them. * It is made up of nine layers. My first step was to assemble it after I received This is a well-designed case and, in anyone else's hands, could probably be put together in less than My hands are not as sensitive as they should be. My power cable wouldn't clear the plastic when I used the cable that came with it. My next step was to contact Please let me know how I can resolve I was polite and prompt on the response (which isn't usual these days) and was asked to mail a picture of how the case was assembled. As I was getting ready to send the photo, I noticed that one of the screws of the fan had come loose, and I had to take it apart to fix it. After I did that, I looked at the other layers to see if I had made a mistake. As it turned out, I was 180 degrees off on the third layer. All of that was plugged into the wall with no problem after I switched those things around. Assembly of the case results in a very solid case. The fan is extremely Besides the heat sink, it comes with 3 other heat sinks.
*A Power Supply of low voltages can easily establish the necessary voltage. The USB ports and USB ports are I think this case is fine. The design is good and the appearance is good as well. This company is great, and I will buy more from them in the future. It is hard to go wrong when you have Emily on your side at Miuzei.

A great case and power supply for a 3b+ build, but the assembly was tricky
5/5

A brief overview Once you get it built (it is difficult), it is a great little case. You need to take your time because there are many layers to flip over and it's easy to get out of order. I love the blue heatsinks and the power supply with on/off switch. The pros include I will - This is absolutely beautiful
This motherboard comes with a heatsink and fan. The power supply has a switch that can switch it on or off (see pic)**Cons I will - It's time to put it all together. I have a confusing connection for a fan (click on the pictures for guidance)

Steps Make sure you pay attention to the instructions on the instruction sheet. As it's mostly just pictures I'll try to explain the process in a little more detail. Remove the screws from the corners of the case. Install the Heatsinks on the Pi Motherboard

Unscrew the Pi Motherboard heatsinks. As soon as you've done that, I highly recommend flipping it upside-down and working from the bottom layer upwards. Remove the plastic protective layer beneath it (it will turn from opaque to clear) and follow the picture instructions Taking your time to apply layers is the key. There is very little gap between an instrument and its surrounding, but you shouldn't have to force the instrument together. Make sure that the piece and position match and try again if you get stuck. In the pictures below, I have my 3b+ installed in this case, and everything fits perfectly. Once you get to the top layer, you will connect the red pin to pin #1 and the black pin to pin #6 to have the fan run at the faster The setup for this Pi can be seen in the picture. When you want a faster 5V speed but prefer a quieter 3V setting, you can hook up the red pin to #2. As well, I have attached a pin diagram which may help you understand. It was the Engineering Project that made this possible. The picture below helped me determine that my wires were oriented backward when I first got them. Upon assembling, I see that the fan just misses the main heatsink when I have everything lined up properly. I like it here because it's quiet and cool. You need to screw in one corner at a time and add the silicone pads at the bottom. When it is completed, it should look like this. In the attached pictures, I have pictures of this case from every angle with my Pi 3b+ to serve as references and to illustrate that everything fits I have paired the Pi with a Samsung EVO 64GB microSD card.

Bottom line This case is very stylish and compact. There is an opening for all inputs and the on/off switch works well. Please take your time when assembling and allow about 20 minutes for each step Allow 30 minutes so that you do not It is easy to flip a piece, but if you force it, they will break. I had to try a few times to plug in the fan and get it situated. I am very pleased with my purchase in the end. Thanks for taking the time to read this!.

Oh my gosh! There is a lot of stacking to be done! When I opened the package, I immediately made a somewhat comical exclamation
5/5

The experience turned out to not be a problem at all and was actually quite enjoyable. As soon as the case is assembled, it is The fact that I could install the veined heat sink on the RAM chip on the back of the Pi board was very convenient. The switch on the power cord was very handy as well. Initially we were surprised the fan did not come on right away, but then we realized the Pi is built to control things so it must control electricity flowing to the GPIO pins that are powered by the Pi. Specifically, it seems to be an on or off switch, not a voltage (speed) switch. I've connected the fan to run at high speed, and it's so quiet I had to look at it to notice that it was operating.

The improved version of their 4-pack is available Replace the layer case with a case of layers
3/5

I have updated As a result, Miuzei won't ask you to pay for this case instead, they will replace it free of charge with their latest 4-year-old model ( This is the layer version, which is easier to assemble and has greater strength! They fixed this issue in this version of the router, since I was able to make the screws ridiculously tight on this router without warping the case. Under the new system, there are four main components Rather than using the button-like cases as before, they replaced them with case bundles Rather than having the toggle style switch on the power supply cord, it has a rocker switch, which I find much more convenient. A power supply with a 3A draw was also installed instead of a 2A one. It is possible to test 5A, though I have not done so myself. It is highly recommended that you check out their new 4- DVD set There are two layers in a I am posting my original review as follows The layering style of this case makes it difficult to assemble.
Really annoying and confusing to setup.
Because it's layered, it's hard The pieces are very small and it is difficult to tell where to put them and how to arrange The layers of this case also flex alarmingly when the screws are tightened. Save yourself the hassle and buy another case bundle, even if this case looks nice.
