It is possible to develop microcontroller applications using better platforms and easier IDEs out there. only TI product I have used that I have found to be disappointing. I also find the CCS IDE to be a disappointment. A few examples I thought I would be able to use an ADC on any GPIO pin, but I An ADC's output will sometimes throw off a reading or the voltage you are trying to read from a sensor when you try to use it. The Cypress PSoC line of products has been of great help to me. This is an excellent kit that I would highly recommend I would rather have this junk than this 059 any day. There's no learning curve in the IDE, and the microcontroller works just as expected. Also, the development kit is less than half the price of this TI version.

That's a total waste of time. One of my lab partners and I bought one about a week ago, and within the week, after completing one lab, we find that majority of GPIO and Analogy In pins are no longer functioning. This launchpad is extremely unreliable, and does nothing but make students' lives difficult and frustrating when they try to use it for labs and.
