Selected User Reviews For Suoman 3-Pack for Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle HR and Fossil Gen 6 Men Women Screen Protector Tempered Glass Fossil Gen 5 / Gen 6 Smartwatch [2.5D 9H Hardness] [Anti-Scratch]
The screen protectors themselves are nice, super clear and scratch resistant, with factory-like touch response. Installation is simple, and the kit includes everything you need. The only problem is that the protectors are just a smidgeon too big, resulting in some overhang and a tiny lip protruding from the edge, making them prone to cracking. The debris that has accumulated under that lip can be seen in the photo, as well as the crack that began right at that edge. Maybe they'd work better in other styles, but in this case, they're doomed to fail early. They come in a three-pack, so I intend to use all three, but given how rough I am with my belongings, I'll probably go through these quickly and then look for something from the manufacturer. These are being run on a Fossil Gen 5 computer.
This is the third time I've bought this. In October 2020, I purchased a pack of screen protectors with the expectation that they would last the rest of my watch's life. Within a week of installation, one of the protectors had chipped. The second one began peeling a few weeks after it was installed and is now cracked. My partner's watch has the third screen protector, which he requested as a Christmas present. br>br>I DO NOT RECOMMEND these protectors because of their incredibly short lifespan.
I've had these for a few years, and the scratches mean my watch face doesn't work anymore. I've had the surface of the protector break a few times because I bumped my arm on something or the watch slipped out of my hand while it was protecting the face. When I need to replace them, I do so, and my watch's face looks brand new during the process. This is a fantastic item.
Half of my watch's screen is fogged and smeared. There must be something wrong with the glass manufacturing or polishing process. It is primarily irritating. It could be the batch I received or the brand, but given how quickly I seem to go through them, I'll put up with it and try a different brand next time.
Now, within the first three weeks of owning my watch, I had gone through the entire pack, so I immediately ordered another, and they absolutely saved my watch from total destruction. I'm on my fourth watch shield, but I'll keep buying them as long as I own it because they're well worth the money! I use the same brand of phone protector on all of my phones, and I continue to do so even when I switch phones.
I would normally give a negative review to such a product, but the company's customer service was exceptional. I contacted them via email, and they promptly responded with a promo code that allowed me to place an immediate order for replacements. After the promo code was applied, the replacements cost around 7 cents. They offered a free replacement, but it would have to be shipped from China and take two weeks to arrive; I'll pay $7 to get the product sooner. It's not an issue. The original order's third protector has held up well. Maybe the first two were faulty, but that's okay. At the very least, I'm about to release a new one. They look great on my prehistoric Carlyle.
It was a challenge to set up. I can't tell my watch has a screen protector because I can't see it. The same goes for touch sensitivity. I didn't anticipate how difficult it would be to put it into practice. I had to throw away the first one and start over because it was a learning experience. The instructions are unclear, and the screen protector cannot be used in the manner recommended. When you try to remove the backing slowly, the protector moves, and you have to start over. I took off all but a small portion of the backing and applied it that way. In addition, the included drying cloth appears to be made of lint. It's not something you should make use of. It gets four stars because it's a good product, but it gets one point less because of the installation.
Because I'm constantly wearing my watch, I've purchased three packs so far. At the very least, one of these protectors out of the three is always defective in some way. Consider the following scenario: My first pack had a large bulge / blemish on one, my second pack had a scratched protector and one with no adhesive on the left side of the protector, and my third pack had the same issue as the first pack - One of the protectors has a large bulge in it, rendering it useless.
