Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Although the lenses are water resistant, we do not recommend wearing them underwater or allowing them to come into contact with liquids for an extended period of time, particularly if they are worn with a non-waterproof lens. This adapter works with some phone cases without modification, but I had to make do with what I had: I preordered a moment case for my iPhone XS Max in the first week of November, became frustrated with the wait, and discovered this fantastic adapter. In order to fit this adapter in, I had to shave a small portion of the lens slot with a small wire cutter. I was initially concerned that this adapter would scratch my phone, but it is protected by a thin piece of foam glued beneath it. Get this adapter to save yourself some money!.
The lenses do exactly what they say on the tin. This allows you to take photos that would be impossible to take on your phone otherwise. 100% strong recommendation My YouTube channel has a full video review: What are your strengths and weaknesses?.
I know this is their flagship wide angle lens, and I love my rhinoshield case, but since I returned this lens, I'm glad the case and bracket work with Moment lenses. My initial thoughts were as follows: 1. br>br> With caps on both the front and rear elements, the lens is better protected than the current wide angle. That's fantastic!
2. However, because it was a wide angle lens and I didn't have a lens hood, the overhead lights in the house I was filming caused some pretty bad lens flares that I couldn't fix. Lens flares would be a major issue in many lighting situations if there was no lens hood.
3. This lens has terrible barrel distortion that can be corrected in photos but not in video. Of course, you won't notice the barrel distortion if you're shooting wide landscapes or even cityscapes from afar, but once you get close in and start shooting architecture or interiors, the barrel distortion will drive you crazy. br>br>I returned it and purchased the Moment wide angle lens because I got it for shooting real estate video. This lens would be a great value if you are just shooting for fun/want to do some creative stuff/don't mind barrel distortion/shooting wide open landscapes or cityscapes where distortion isn't an issue. The Moment will almost certainly be worth the extra $40 or whatever for serious architectural shooters. br>br>This video was shot with this lens on an iPhone XR, and the aerials were shot with a Mavic Pro 2. The lens flares can be seen in the upstairs landing room, and the barrel distortion, especially in the kitchen, can be clearly seen.
This lens is far superior to any other clip-on style I've used before. The key, of course, is the case/adapter/lens combination, which ensures a fast, easy, and perfectly aligned lens every time, but the dual use Wide/Macro lens' design and quality cannot be overlooked. Wherever I go, I frequently carry a DSLR camera with various lenses, and using this lens with my phone is quickly becoming the preferred option for quick and easy shots.
It took me a while to figure out how to install the adaptor properly at first. It wiggles a little in its current location. It worked perfectly once I put the case on my phone. I use Sirui lenses, which are well-fitting and secure on the phone. I'm a jogger and hiker, and I've never had a lens move. Despite the fact that I was shivering in my pocket. After installation, the alignment was perfect, and I had no issues. If I do manage to wear it out, I'm glad it can be replaced for a reasonable price.
The lens is excellent, with a substantial weight that makes it feel solid and long-lasting. I haven't used the macro lens yet because I purchased the lens for its wide-angle capabilities. The lens does not feel as secure on the case as I'd like, and I'm not sure if this is due to the case or the attachment to attach the lens to the case, but it does not feel as secure as I'd like, especially when compared to their competition "Moment. " When you move your phone around, it tends to rotate. I use an iPhone X to capture my images.
I was a little skeptical at first, so I got the moment case with the rhino shield lense and it worked great. The only issue was that my microphone (Rhode video mic me L) would not fit due to the bottom of the moment case, so I was out of options until I decided to buy this adapter, and even though it is meant to be used with the rhino shield cases, I have no problem putting it on my Apple silicone case.
I liked how crisp the images were taken with this lens, but I think I should have bought the 4K Wide Angle version because I have to use SKWRT to fix the distortion on the photos' outer edges. I'd also like to see a Telephoto Lens from Rhinoshield.
