Questions & Answers
Although I own a Samsung, I believe this to be a universal model. You can find the exact answer by searching for one plus opener for sim card tray on Google.
On the tray, I'm going to say no. My phone provider informed me that this tray is only compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S9+.
I'm not sure what I'm saying. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8 and it's fantastic.
I'm not sure, but it's a possibility. The compatibility should be stated on the product description page.

(Pics: Original Samsung tray on the left, with a fracture in the left arm. Yes, a new tray is needed. )br>br>The original Samsung SIM/microSD tray for my S8 broke on the left arm just below the gasket after I got a new microSD card for my phone and swapped cards for formatting and copying files. It's been almost a year and a month since it was created. I have phone insurance, but with the Note 9 on the way, I didn't want to deal with Samsung and risk having to pay for a "genuine OEM" tray and wait however long it would take. br>br>This tray is a near-perfect replacement for less than $5 and two days. There are two things that I notice, both of which are minor: The new tray appears to be possibly. 001" thicker, if that (I didn't mic it), so it's a slightly tighter fit in the phone where the original had some slop, and the microSD card is a pretty tight fit in the tray (actually snaps into the tray), but that's fine by me. It is not worthy of a one-star deduction. The gasket is present and appears to be functioning (I have no plans to test the water resistance), and the finish/color is virtually identical to the Samsung tray and perfectly matches the phone's bezel. Overall, I'm happy with the replacement. br>br> The SIM popper (tool) that comes with it is one of my favorite features. I didn't need it, but it's nice that it came with it in case I forgot or misplaced mine. In addition, I believe the quality of the tool that comes with this tray is superior to that of the phone's tool. br>br>If you're looking for a replacement tray, this is the one I'd suggest.
My Samsung Galaxy S8 has a perfect replica. The rubber seal on this tray replacement is identical to the original. The only issue was getting the mini SD card into the phone, but that's no problem because the phone has a little spring to keep it in place. It also includes a removal pin, which is a nice touch for removing the old one. That pin was used to replace the old one that had broken.
After my old tray broke, I decided to buy this one. Unfortunately, while it fits into my Samsung S8, it appears that the tray was not made to the exact specifications of the device. br>br>When the tray arrived, getting the SIM in place took some effort. I took it slowly and carefully because I didn't want to break the tray. Unfortunately, while the phone initially worked fine, I began to receive a "No SIM detected" error after a few days. After some online research and testing, it was discovered that the tray was misaligned. The problem was solved by turning off the phone, replacing the tray, and rebooting the phone. br>br>Unfortunately, this happened once more, and it has now become a near-constant occurrence. It happens on a daily basis. I've noticed that the tray is no longer flush with the phone after a few minutes in my pocket. Furthermore, I've begun to receive error messages indicating that the phone is unable to locate the micro SD card in the tray, indicating that the problem is most likely alignment-related. br>br>I can't return the item because I lost the eject pin (had to take it on a short trip because the SIM kept misaligning, and it vanished somewhere in the unpacking). Unfortunately, it appears that I will have to track down an original part from the manufacturer, which is exactly what I should have done in the first place. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I bought a second tray from a different seller, and after a few days of success, I began to experience the same problem. The problem appears to be that the SIM card pops out of its tray, causing the phone to lose contact. I solved this by applying two layers of thin masking tape to the back of the SIM card (carefully cut to the size of the SIM card), creating a snug fit that prevented the SIM card from popping out. This was the solution to the problem. br>br>I'm raising the rating to three stars because I was able to resolve the issue, and based on what I've read, this appears to be a general design flaw with the S8. In any case, I'm disappointed that this product did not function as advertised right out of the box.
When I removed the SD/SIM tray from my Galaxy S8 to transfer some music, I noticed that one of the sides had snapped. The tray was still functional, but I didn't want the other side to break. Then I'd be stuck with a SIM card that I couldn't remove. This was one of the orders I placed. On the outside, it's a nice shiny black, just like the original, and it comes with a key to remove the tray. Because the cards were so tight, I used a file to smooth out one of the edges. It didn't take very long at all. Because of the nature of this tray, I only gave it three stars for durability. This isn't a criticism of this specific product (5 stars if you never use the tray and just leave it in the phone).
To replace my broken tray, I ordered this. I couldn't figure out why my phone stopped reading my SD card. I took it out and tested it on my computer, but I left my sim card in my phone in the meantime. The tray became stuck when I attempted to remove it. I eventually got it out, only to discover that it was broken and that I needed a new one. This one was the same color as my phone and was a perfect fit for my S8. I insert my SD card, and my phone reads it once more. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, and the price is extremely reasonable. This is something I would strongly suggest.
My phone had been acting up, so I went to check my sim card and discovered the tray was broken on one side and cracked on the other. I'm not sure how this happened because I don't use the sim tray. br>br>This merchant (Afex) sent me a replacement tray, which was a perfect fit. I was hesitant because of some of the negative reviews, but the tray worked perfectly for me. It fit perfectly and matched the OEM Samsung tray in appearance. If you do decide to order one, make sure you get the right one! I saw one image/review where the buyer claimed it didn't fit because they ordered the wrong tray!.
