br>br>The unit appears to be well-made and sturdy, as is typical of Anker products. br>br>Weirdly for Anker, the unit requires some instructions to figure out how to turn on/off, charge, turn on/off the three modes of light, Low power mode, and so on, because there is only one button - the power button. However, it serves multiple purposes. The instructions are mediocre at best, but you can figure it out by experimenting with different button combinations. I'm still unsure how to tell when it's charged completely. br>br>The solar charger is more of a gimmick than anything else. The solar panel integrated into the 10,000 Anker product takes 6 days to charge. So, I'm guessing it will take about 12 days to charge this one using solar power, so it's not really practical. "Days" is all Anker says. br>br>Anker leaves out the following: The device is powered by a USB connection. It includes a USB port. C to USB- C cord for charging A brick charger is not included with the unit. If you don't have an 18-watt USB-powered device, this is critical. Charger type C. The unit charges devices quickly. br>br>1/16/2021 updatebr>br> On a full charge, I can charge my iPhone XS Max nearly four times. br>The brick itself takes about 6 hours to make. When plugged into an 18 watt wall charger, it takes 8 hours to charge. br>After three days in the sun, the battery level indicators have not increased by a single dot. This unit has met my expectations. br>br>.
This is only used for the solar charging aspect. I never use a 110 outlet to charge my solar pack. br>br>It took about 5 minutes. It took 7 days to fully charge the solar pack (4 blue lights), and that included rotating it to face the sun every day. That's a step up from the OUXTE brand I had before. It hasn't been harmed by being exposed to the rain a few times. br>br>It takes about an hour to fully charge my phone. It stops charging after about 30 minutes for some reason, and I have to restart the charge cycle by pressing the power button. I haven't finished reading the instructions yet, so I could be missing something. br>br>Seems to consume very little power to fully charge my phone. I charge my phone once or twice a day and then return the solar pack to full sun for the rest of the day. I've been doing this for five days and the solar pack hasn't dropped below four blue lights. So far, everything has gone well. I'm blown away. We'll have to wait and see how long it lasts.
Not only is the design appealing, but it is also extremely durable! It's ideal for camping and hiking. It quickly charges my phone, and the 20000mAh capacity means I get more than 5 full charges from it (iPhone 11 Pro). Other reviews mention how slow the solar battery pack charges, and while this is true (it will take several sunny days), it is still useful. That little bit of energy you just got from the sun might be enough for a last-minute phone call or a photo at the top! So, even if you won't be using the solar panel much, I still think this battery is great and would recommend it over the cheap Chinese brands.
Army A is where I am currently stationed. We are also not permitted to use our phones for more than one hour per day. So there's the question of "Should I Use My Phone?" Should I charge my phone, or should I do something else? " It becomes a problem. There are also a limited number of charging ports. I charge this battery once a week and put my phone in my locker to charge quietly! That's not to say it's not against the law! We are not allowed to have our phones out, and we were never told that we would be able to charge them!.
The build quality was the first thing that struck me when I opened the box. It's well-made and sturdy, and it's a pleasure to hold. When I turned it on, two of the four blue battery indicator lights were illuminated, indicating that the unit was only partially charged. Using my wall charger, it took about 6 hours to fully charge. After complete charging, it charged my old Samsung Note 8 via the USB type C port (Not solar) from 64% to 100% full charge in 37 minutes, the unit charges pretty quickly In and of itself, the LED flashlight is a fun feature. The lights are bright, but not blindingly so. The dust cover that protects charging ports from dust and debris is a little difficult to open, which is my only complaint. If you're like me and like to keep your finger nails short, opening the dust cover on this device is a bit of a struggle. br>br>Those of you who have an older device with a USB type C charging port, like my Samsung Note 8, should be able to use this power bank. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the PowerCore Solar 20000, which I plan to use for backup emergency use as well as hiking, camping, and fishing trips with the family. Anker has created yet another outstanding product.
This is fantastic; the quality of the construction and the capacity are both excellent.
