KnuKonceptz Bassik 2 Way Mini ANL Fuse Distribution Block - 1/0 Gauge to 4 Gauge - 150 Amp

I was sent the wrong item at first, but after contacting them, they promptly sent the correct one. br>br>Because of its small footprint, it can be installed in confined spaces. br>br>The set screw threads are smooth and do their job without binding up or requiring any additional effort; I had no trouble inserting bare ( multi-colored (slightly frayed) Set screws secure stranded 1/0 and 4ga cable. br>br>The metal distribution blocks are attached to the plastic mounting plate with screws through the bottom of the plate, and the screw heads are covered with a very thin felt sticker to prevent the block from potentially grounding out on your mounting surface - Double-checking is a good idea. Before you install it and close the circuit, double-check that these are present and undamaged! br>br>The plastic mounting plate is secured to your surface with two small screw holes in the center (under the fuses). br>The plastic cover fits snugly and snaps securely into place, but it uses standard plastic locking tabs that will most likely wear out or snap off if you remove and reattach the cover frequently. br>br>The blocks show signs of machining, but this in no way affects their functionality; they're just not polished'show pieces' - That doesn't bother me because it's hidden from view. br>br>While I have no specific complaints about this item and it performs admirably, I believe I would have been better served by paying a little more for a different/larger block. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative+ para If you're using gauge reducers, the set screw may not go far enough to allow you to replace the cover without a lot of work or replacing the set screw.

Block of plastic for mounting. So far, the block appears to be functioning properly. For the torque required to tighten the fasteners, the plastic mounting block is a little flimsy. On Amazon, there are a lot of wiring/ring terminal products with mismatched gauges. And after purchasing all of the knukonceptz components, I was disappointed to discover hours into the installation that the 0awg knu ofc cable needed to be trimmed to fit into the 0awg block. When I was looking for the fault in my amp, I noticed that the mini anl fuses had cracked lenses, but I discovered that both fuses were in good working order using a multimeter. It was also difficult to see any filament links inside the case.

My only concern was that tightening the screws caused the plastic baseplate to flex, making it difficult to properly crimp down the wires. To get a solid crimp on the input and output wires, I had to use pliers to hold the block in place at the end.

It was a disaster. I really wanted to like it, but the 0 gauge opening is oval, and the wire doesn't fit very well. The body should be made of copper, and the frame should be made of aluminum. It is simply not worth the effort.

The piece is solid, but be aware that only one 150 amp fuse is included, or at least on the one I received. For me, this isn't a big deal because I have the fuse near my battery and in my amp and can jump over it, but be aware of this when purchasing this unit and purchase the additional fuse if you need it.

Works great, and I've been happy with everything I've ordered from Kun Concepts thus far. There wire is excellent, and this is an excellent product.
