Please accept my apologies for a previous response that was incomplete. To begin, keep in mind that while the control panel may have a cover, the remote fob does not. But don't worry about the buttons in your pocket or purse getting jumbled up. Any button must be held steady and for a long time in order to be activated. This entails a few seconds, but something deliberate rather than unintentional. These work well, and you can arm or disarm with the touch of a button, eliminating the need to find and navigate a keyboard. However, my installer advised me not to keep the fob with my keys, as anyone who gets their hands on your briefcase or purse with keys in it will know your address and be able to enter undetected. It's a good point, but I do it anyway for convenience. Instead, keep the fob inside, in a location where you can activate it in less time than it would take to enter a dozen keys on the keypad. That is, without a doubt, the safer option. I'd also recommend writing down your code and password somewhere you'll remember it in the future, just in case you're asked about it.
I'm not sure because I bought it for my daughter, who drives a 2016 Ford Fusion. Check to see if your fob has 5 or 4 buttons, as shown in the picture.
No, the light isn't visible to you. It has been taken care of. The remote start, on the other hand, continues to function properly.
That's for sure!

Okay, these were purchased for a specific reason by me. My F150 key fob appears to be on the verge of breaking. It sets off the alarm when I bend over, brush up against something, or reach into my pocket. When I'm out of range, it's not always a problem, but it happens frequently enough to be a nuisance. With this cover, I hoped to provide enough protection to make the button press harder, thereby reducing, if not eliminating, the problem. PROS: br>br>
1. The cover is a perfect fit for the book. It adds a nice protective coating and gives the impression that your key fob will be protected in the event of a drop. The key ring can still be slid back over it, and it looks good overall. br>br>CONS:
1. It doesn't de-sensitize the buttons, which I suppose is a good thing but not for my needs. I received the same number of false alarms as before.
2. It's a very tight fit, and I was terrified of having to remove it when I needed to replace the battery.
3. It's extremely difficult to get to the emergency key (located inside the key fob) in an emergency, and it'd take a long time if it was a cold day.
4. The status LED on the key fob isn't visible because there isn't a hole for it, so you can't tell if remote start worked.
5. The finish is particularly fond of the inside of your pocket, making it difficult to get your keys out of jeans pockets. br>br>In the end, I removed the cover and tossed it out. While I like the idea of additional security, I'm not convinced it is necessary. I'm not the gentlest with my keys, and I've only had a couple of key fobs break. I also prefer a status light for remote start, but that's not to say this isn't a great product for you. It's just not my cup of tea.
br>br>These are fairly simple to install; it does take some time, but once in place, they provide a tight, secure fit. The material has a thickness that causes the overall size of the key fob to grow. The material is a nice silicone that doesn't slide around in your pocket. br>br>Was it a good investment? Is it a win-win situation or a flop? Yes, I would say it was a deal for me.
One of my key fobs was missing the bottom alarm button. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it, but I did want it to look better than it did with the button cover missing. I found this pair (red and black) and they are perfect; I now have an extra one because I only needed one, but the price was good, so what the heck, I bought two. I'm currently using the red one, which has a soft, smooth silicone that feels good in my hands. Because it's red, it stands out. I expect it to last a long time, but I've only had it for a few days and can't say for sure. This case was perfect for my fob - the ideal match.
These are fantastic. Anyone who knows anything about FOBs knows that they've gotten so expensive that you need to protect them or you'll end up replacing them for hundreds of dollars. When my wife dropped hers, it cracked and flew open, causing it to re-open. installed the batteries, but a small piece of plastic on the top broke off, so this was a great addition to keep it together and protected. I haven't had any other problems with the FOB since I installed it, and she has dropped her keys a few more times, so I know it's working properly.
My one FOB was scratched and beaten up, so I looked for silicone fob covers on Amazon and came across this simple pair for my two fobs. I'm currently using the black one because I think it will show less dirt and stains over time than the red, and I like the soft silicone texture and the almost complete coverage of the fob from rain and dust. It doesn't make your FOB waterproof, but it is simple to install and maintain. When I'm walking to my car, the textured buttons and soft grip are pleasant to hold. You did an excellent job of creating a quality product and selling it at a reasonable cost.
The material is ideal for picking up dirt, dust, and pocket lint in its tiny grooves, which is basically what the title says. I would have preferred the groove not to exist, or at the very least for it to protrude rather than be recessed. Things immediately get stuck in there. My only other complaint is that it obscures the remote start light, which indicates whether or not the car has been remote started. Why did they add a hole for the Ford logo but leave out the functional light? To me, it's illogical. Apart from those two flaws, it's a high-quality product that does exactly what it's supposed to. Even if it doesn't keep your key looking clean, it will certainly protect it.
br>On the factory key fob, I also had a problem with the alarm going off in my pocket. I took the alarm button off the key fob, covered it with black tape to keep it safe, and then put this key fob cover on top of it. br>No more false alarms, and the best part is that the alarm now only sounds once when you press the button area on the key fob cover. br>I am extremely pleased with this product!.
When I found out the cover was sensitive to pressure on the remote buttons, I was disappointed. My key was safely tucked away in my jacket pocket. One of the buttons would be pressed every time I sat down. Either my panic alarm went off, the doors opened, or the back tail door opened. It also attracts lint, which I discovered. The color, in particular, was appealing to me. Unfortunately, this did not work for me, so I discarded both of them.
