They are suitable for the back of the vehicle. Differentiating the fronts is a must.
These were purchased to replace the dash speakers in my 1990 Silverado.
It'll go in without a hitch. In a 1995 reg cab, I installed one.
They fit perfectly in my 1992 Corvette, and the fit in a Camaro should be similar.

The product is fantastic! Perfect speakers to replace your old ones. If you're installing a 1997 or later model, TJ Wrangler (2006 Jeep Wrangler) You can either cut out the original speakers and reuse the frame mount, or you can buy Metra 82-inch speakers. To be used as mounting hardware, 1011 should be used. These aren't replacements in the strictest sense. Wrangler speakers with new frames are available for purchase, but they are fairly expensive, costing around $100. You'll save money with these speakers because the Metra frames are only $15.
I'm impressed by the sound quality and clarity of these speakers. They have a rich sound, especially when compared to the less expensive speakers I installed in the front of my truck. br>br>These aren't spectacular by any means, and there are certainly speakers that will outperform them. However, they have a great price-to-quality ratio. I believe the majority of listeners will be pleased with the performance ratio. br>br>Installation was not without difficulty. I couldn't get four screw holes flush with my truck's sheet metal to screw it in, so I used the factory founds instead. This seems to work fairly well; I haven't noticed any significant rattle, but it may be affecting sound quality. You could probably get away with just three screws, but the self-tapping screws are a must. In my case, the tapping screws I was using were a little loose, so the OE mount was a better choice. It's possible that I'll go back and screw it up again.
These Kickers were installed on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. They are the ideal fit and sound. br> br>These give the Jeep's front end a new lease on life, and they go great with the subwoofer and sound bar. br>As has already been stated by someone else. You will require the following mounting plates:

In the dash and rear pillars of my 1991 Silverado, I installed these. They were simple to install and sound great with my JVC head unit. Expect little bass from any 4x6, but at high volumes, they are crystal clear. Later on, I'll add a sub to round out the low end, and I'll have a nice well-rounded system. I am satisfied with my purchase and would enthusiastically recommend it.
In my 1990 GMC single cab truck, I purchased these speakers to make the sound a little clearer and add a little more bass. I don't have a crazy deck or anything in it that would cause current to flow toward these speakers, but after about a month of use, my left speaker has started to crackle and sound unappealing.
It was simple to replace the 31-year-old factory speakers in the dash of my 1991 3/4-ton Silverado pickup because the mounting brackets of these speakers have a lot of bolt holes. The driver's side speakers went in quickly, but the magnets on the Kicker speakers are larger than the factory speakers (which is a good thing), as other reviewers have noted. The dash speaker was unable to seat properly due to the plastic of the passenger-side dash vent. I used a heat gun on a low setting to apply a little heat to the plastic and pressed the speaker into place while it was still warm. Everything appears to be in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. br>I'm tempted to replace the rear pillar speakers, but I've heard it's a big job that requires removing the back seat and a lot of the brittle plastic trim that's been on the car for 31 years. In any case, I can now listen to music while driving the old pickup.
The speakers are extremely simple to set up. All black line wire is negative, while all grey cable is positive; you'll need to drill new mount holes, which is a simple task. They sound much better than the 18-year-old speakers in the truck (a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD), and they fit perfectly! So far, I'm a big fan of them. Longevity =-.
