I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about. My enclosures were 6x9 when I made them.
Selected User Reviews For JBL GTO939 Premium 6 x 9 Inches Co-Axial Speaker - Set of 2
I read a few reviews that said the speakers weren't as good as they expected, and I'm not sure what they expected because these speakers are seriously impressive; the car literally vibrates as if I had a subwoofer installed, and no amplifier or special radio was installed. I literally swapped out all four of my factory speakers for these, and my 2018 Jeep Renegade still has the factory radio. Only the adapter for the speaker to connect to my car's speaker connector was purchased, so these speakers and the adaptor were the only things I purchased. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

However, they are well-made and appear to be excellent speakers. They came back out after a few minutes of testing, and I placed an order for the Kicker CS series. All of a sudden, the Kickers sound SO MUCH BETTER. Because I'm only using the stock head unit, it's possible that these JBLs are designed for more power. My previous vehicle, a Dodge Dart, had Kickers as well. If you only want to upgrade the speakers in a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep, I believe that would be the best option.
These speakers are fantastic! I've tried a lot of JBL products and these are by far the best. Without going into the science of the cone material or why it is superior to your favorite brand, just know that it can carry more bass than other options. These require a small amount of power. They wake up nicely at about 45 watts. I added some sound deadening to my 2016 Highlander, and the bass now sounds fantastic. It doesn't have a lot of bass, but it does a good job of filling out the midrange.
1. br>br> ) 3 Ohms. If you have an OEM head unit, this is a great option.
2. ) Excellent bass. The bass is amplified by the JBL cone. Even if the speakers are brand new and the motor hasn't had time to break in.
3. ) The mid and high frequencies have a great crossover built in. If you need to amp up or tone down your vocals, this is the plugin for you. br>br>Awesome speakers in general!.
There is even a list of cars that are supposed to be compatible with this item, and my car is listed as one of them. The speakers, on the other hand, do not fit in my vehicle. I had to pay a mechanic to modify the insides of my doors, which may or may not have implications for future installation of other aftermarket speakers, but if I wanted to put my stock speakers back in, that ship has sailed. Why even publish a list of compatibility cars if’it’s 100% inaccurate it’s inaccurate it’s inaccurate it’s inaccurate it’s inaccurate it% It all boils down to proportions. What makes you think that it isn't correct?.
On my 2019 Silverado, I replaced the stock speakers. Speaker wire and mounting adaptors were used. The sound quality and bass were noticeably different. I was going to replace the dash speakers as well, but after hearing these, I've decided against it. You'll hear her voice in songs you're familiar with as well as ones you've never heard before. The sound quality is outstanding, with full range sounds, crisp highs and mids, and significantly improved bass and mid bass. Because the plastic adapters (purchased separately) are flimsy and loose fitting, I applied some sound deadening (Home Depot/Lowes peel and seal stuff) around them. I'm thinking about putting the 6 now. The system is balanced by 5 GTOs in the back doors. It was money well spent.
I installed these speakers in the front doors of my 2006 Toyota Tacoma. It was incredible how loud it was. I'm a big fan of high-quality audio and output, so I went with the T545s when selecting these speakers. The highs are crisp and not overpowering, the mids are light and airy, and the bass is powerful. Because I'm middle-aged and don't like attracting unfavorable attention from thiefs, I had to tone it down because it was too big. br>The OEM 6x9 is built into a larger than normal mounting bracket. I mostly listen to news talk, but I also enjoy classic rock, 80's music, and so on. I removed the cone from the mounting bracket, as well as the brace that held it in place. I left the speaker leads on the mounting brackets for as long as possible so that when I installed the JBL speakers, I didn't have to cut into the OEM connector to wire the new speaker. When you get your hands on your truck doors, this will make sense.
I returned them because they didn't sound as good as the old speaker I needed to replace. I had to cover the cost of return shipping.
