Are you using an amp? If so, your gains are probably too high. Also, double-check your wiring; I blew four due to a shorted wire. Make sure you're using the supplied capacitor/resistor; I've got mine set up on my Pioneer with an active crossover set to 4khz.
They're a custom-fit super tweeter, so that's not likely. Any tweeter can be made to fit with enough ingenuity, though. In my Fiat 500e, I have them in the stock location.

This is the first set I've had installed since I bought them about a year ago. I must admit that when I first opened these and saw the size and contents, I felt foolish. No, not because I bought them, but because I assumed that all tweeters were the same as the ones that come with speaker sets that include tweeters, mids, and woofers. Those tweeters in those type sets are a farce, to be honest. They are in no way comparable to tweeters of this type. These are absolutely fantastic! Yes, I used the word "awesome" in the previous sentence. I could go on and on, but the point is that if you want true tweeter sound, these are well worth the money. They have a maximum power output of 400 watts and a minimum power output of 200 watts. The 4 ohm is what I have. They're the following: 75 in. in diameter and handle number one 8k- 18khz. The sensitivity of this device is 98 decibels. They're hot, and they're a great complement to my truck's extremely loud stereo system. Remember not to deafen yourself! .
This is not only clear, but also extremely loud. I had to change my treble settings because it was so loud. I also set them to a - for my personal preference. They were at a decibel level of 6 because they were causing my ears to ring. My subs pack a punch, and these with the DS18 pack a punch. They do a great job with the 5" loud speakers. They also have a low-profile appearance. I have two sets in my rear window deck and am looking to add a third set to my door speakers to balance out the sound on stage.
I installed these in the doors of my 2005 Tacoma, and while they fit perfectly with very little modification to the door or the speaker, I would double-check your measurements for placement, especially if you are not mechanically inclined. Finally, they sound fantastic and are well worth the $25 price tag.
I thought the tweeters were a little quiet, so I increased the capacitor size to 15 uF, and they now begin to make sound at 500 hz (barely audible), and I couldn't hear anything above 10,500 (probably my ears). With the larger cap, the tweeters become noticeably louder. br>Also keep in mind that the tweeters are vented, which means they will unseal your enclosure if you have one. I had them mounted in the same sealed enclosure as my 4" mid, and I could feel the wind coming in through the four front holes of the tweeters, which acted as a reflex port.

I bought this for my motorcycle because it was a great product with quick shipping.
Sound travels and is clearer away from the vehicle than it is inside, but it is still very clear and crisp. It will ring in your ears. Excellent value for money; I'll be purchasing more DB18s in the future. All I have to worry about now is how long the sound quality will last.
I'm going to order a few more of these in the near future because they're loud and crisp.
