When it was working, it sounded great, but after a few minutes, it would lock up and you couldn't change the songs or volume, and you couldn't turn it off even when the bike was turned off, so you had to pull the fuses out of the bike's panel to reset it.
I've had no problems with this unit, contrary to what others have said. I have 9 folders on my SD card, each with 45 songs in it. Changes from song to song and from "cd" to "cd" with ease. It is not easy to arrange songs in the order you desire, but it is possible.
It's very infrequent. On Gold Wings, there are no Random or Repeat options. I'm often locked up. Because the cable was about 12 inches shorter than previous models, a 1 1/2" hole had to be drilled in the forward wall of the trunk to route it. I went back to my old MP3 player, which is much more dependable than this one.
Don't throw your money away! I ride every Sunday, but it has rained every Sunday this year, so I haven't been able to put it to the test in the 30-day period. grace of the day It doesn't work the way it's supposed to. For the first 5 minutes, you can change your selection; after that, it won't change, and after that, it won't change. DO NOT BUY, I repeat, DO NOT BUY.
It does exactly what it's supposed to. I only wish the connector wire had been a couple of inches longer.
It's impossible to keep up with everything. I like that it's already wired for the system, but once I plugged it into my bike (a 2010 Honda Goldwing), it started skipping tracks and making my system "crazy," to the point where I had to pull fuses 10 and 23 to reset it.
It's a perfect fit and it's a breeze to put together.
The description stated that it would not work with my Goldwing because it has a navigation system and an ABS system. I was willing to take a risk. The cable is extremely short, but it still connects perfectly. It was necessary to carry out some engineering work. It fits in nicely with my CD buttons. The thing that doesn't work is that when I switch to the radio, the cd player (which is what it's connected to) continues to play (you won't hear it, but it does). ) It will stop when the bike is turned off or when you press the reset button, but since the reset button is located in the trunk, the bike is usually turned off anyway. You must be careful how you organize your songs with folders and the like; this device will hold 594 songs for me. Enough to go on a trip.
