I've had this on my 300 Honda fourtrax for a few years and have had no issues with it. I just wish I had figured out it was the cdi box sooner; it was driving me crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with it.
You'll need to know your year model and how many pins your CDI box has, so look it up online. I believe this one is for a 1988, but double-check before buying.
Gray above my pay grade
Is your 250's cdi identical to the one in the photo? If that is the case, I believe it will be successful. It is necessary to match the plug in.

I double-checked all of the wires, and everything appeared to be in working order. I removed the front fender and examined all of the wires leading to the CDI module, as well as any other wires I could find beneath it. When I turned it on, it was in a bad state. I tapped the cdi box with a rubber mallet, and it began to run smoothly again, just as it had before. I figured it had to be something wrong with the cdi module, which was the original one on the Honda from 1989. I bought this CDI module, plugged it in, and turned it on, and it worked flawlessly! I believe this is the best it has ever worked! Idle and throttle response are both excellent. It appeared to be nearly identical to my old unit and fit perfectly in the rubber mount. This unit works well for me and costs around $100. 00 less than a genuine CDI module replacement. That's a significant price difference, even if it's only ten dollars. 00 or 20. If there had been a $00 difference, I would have definitely gone with the OEM unit, but I wasn't willing to spend that much more money on this old fourwheeler. I hope you found this information useful. aided you in some way Don't go to the shop with your four-wheeler and come out with a 4 or 500. a hundred dollar bill! They're not afraid to slap you with a bill! LOL.
I'm working on a TRX300 for a couple from the area. Their quad worked for about a week after they completed several repairs and carb service. I got a call that it wouldn't start, so I looked it over and saw that there was no spark. The coil, as well as the stator, pulse, and rectifier, were all found to be in good working order. Because I couldn't find any wire issues or other related issues, I decided to take a stab at the CDI because there's no real way to test these thoroughly. When I plugged this new unit in, the spark plug lit up like a lightning storm, and the quad fired up immediately after being reassembled. I'll contact you again if I have any problems, but so far everything has been fine!.
I'm pleased with the price, shipping, and functionality. I'd buy it again if another one quits after this one lasts a few years. This is the third CDI from this company (Quad is 32 years old, so it'll eat a piece every now and then), but I believe it's the first. This CDI is installed on my Honda four-cylinder from 1988. trex and it immediately fixed my no run (or start and die) problem that had been plaguing this quad for months. br>I think it's a good choice.
For a dependable 1991 Honda TRX 300 4x4, simply plug and play. In warmer temperatures, there's no problem with a really hot spark. I've had two of them fail in sub-zero temperatures. Perhaps not permanent failures, but if your starter turns over slowly, this CDI box might not work properly in the cold, or even when the temperature is high but the battery is low. The very first. Great for months until the temperature dropped into the single digits, then released one spark when the starter button was pressed, then nothing, even after adding a jumper box to boost the battery. The following is the second. Fine until the temperature dropped, after which there was intermittent sparking until the battery was topped off and a jumper box was installed. After that, it's back to business as usual. Although the battery may not be performing at its best, it appeared to be turning the starter over at a normal rate; I also tried the kick starter for a good initial surge but had no luck. I'm hoping to avoid being left out in the cold.
The plugs aren't in the same place as they were in the factory. In order for the wires to reach, it had to be installed backwards. It did, however, work. Before installing it, I had a no-spark condition, but after plugging it in, my 1992 TRX 300 started right up.
It plugs in and fires up right away. br>I knew I needed a new CDI after washing my 93 Honda 300 and losing spark. I checked the original CDI and it was cracked and burned on the back, so it was time for a new one.
It was very simple to set up. I had previously purchased one, which lasted for five months. Hopefully, it was a faulty unit. Before I buy an OEM part, I'm going to give it another shot.
My old Honda ATV started right up after it was delivered quickly. It was puking out infrequently, but I assumed this was the problem. The connector is on the opposite side of the OEM connector, but this isn't a problem. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My old ice fishing quad is firing up again after 2 months. The purchase has exceeded my expectations.
