You might need to fix this and continue to use the radio if your sound went out but it has power. As well as controlling the blinker and door chimes, it controls the lights. Unfortunately I have no idea what caused the element to fail, there was no sign of moisture under the dash where it was mounted, but there was a small amount of moisture in the rear door wire harness between the door and the For this reason, I cut off the rubber boots below the boot, so water doesn't accumulate Where this water comes from or how to fix it is not clear to me. I gave the first amp replacement 3 stars only because most modern car amplifiers come with a short circuit protection feature. I used the first amp for 18 months, but it worked flawlessly during that time. It would have prevented the amplifier from faulty if it had been affected by water. I can only deduce that there was a defect in some other component if the water was not the issue. It is highly recommended that you purchase Square trade or some other protection plan. Under the drivers side dash, next to the steering wheel, is where the amp is located. Several videos can be found on YouTube that show the process of removing and installing.
This was bought for a 2010 Chevy Traverse with a BOSE head unit that failed last year (and the navigation long before that), I wished that I had one of these. The idea of a new navigation stereo crossed my mind. It would be a bad idea for me to drive this car with no radio. So then you think it's fun for your kids to play their phones for the radio. The fact that it didn't last longer than 5 years still seems crazy to me. When it comes to quality, BOSE used to be a mark of distinction. That is probably why Chevy manufactures it using one of their own vendors now. Since the turn signal and all the bells and whistles stem from this head unit, the unit runs hot under the dash and is always on. It is easier to replace the top screw with a speed hex, flip-out, DC screwdriver, and bore scope, as those tools make it easier to see the top screw. It feels most like you're doing it up near the foot pedals on the driver's side when you're replacing the wiring. It's worked great so far and I no longer have to listen to cell phone radio. I have not yet received a navigation system.
The plug is under the driver's side of the steering column - very difficult to reach. I recommend directing a flex extension and a 7mm regular and deep socket into the plug.
I looked into the problem and it turns out that these model years have leaks in the windshield seal on the driver's side that can allow water to enter the amplifier. I ordered this radio to replace our worn out one and it arrived promptly. My husband swapped it out and it is working again.
The amplifier would not fit my 2013 GMC Acadia Denali when I typed the model number into the Amazon search bar. I took the amplifier out of the box because the model numbers were the same. It's a great tool that works incredibly well.
My 2015 Traverse had no amplifier, so I bought this one to replace it. Watching a few YouTube videos on how to uninstall and install on a car stereo, I decided to hire an expert to do it. I was quite satisfied with my $60 investment. I will charge you a fee of US$100. Despite its age, the Bose system still works perfectly.
Thrilled to be alive. I am beyond happy! My sincere thanks go out to you. After spending 80 dollars to try and fix it, it was unable to be fixed. I was very pleased with this deal, thank you so much.
I have a GMC Acadia that does not make any sounds as a result of blinkers, door warning, and back up We have an up-camera and, of course, a radio as well. As a result, the amplifier is no longer working. Approximately $450 was quoted by the dealer for the replacement amp, and almost another $450 for labor and taxes for the installation. We bought this amplifier from a car stereo shop and had it installed by them. For installation, it took the company about an hour and cost $85 per outlet. Now everything works as it should. I went the same route when I experienced the same symptoms with my car. Hopefully it will save you time and money.
