Selected User Reviews For SeaLife Sea Dragon Mini 900S Compact LED Dive Light (SL653)
I think it's a very good diving light for the price. The test tool has been used on several dives of 100+ feet, including one of 142 feet, and not a drop of leakage has been found. In terms of light intensity, it was bright for its size, and its beam pattern was pleasing. In preparation for my trip, I bought Olight 3400mAh batteries and tested them with my light. In full brightness, the lights ran for two and a half hours and fifteen minutes before the light dimmed automatically to medium brightness. This light doesn't have a lockout feature preventing it from being accidentally turned on while it is stored in a BCD pocket, which is what I didn't like. As well, I wish there were an option for the five different patterns (high, medium, low, strobe and SOS) to be programmed so you didn't have to cycle through them continuously to get to the one you wanted. The button needs to be pressed four times to go from medium to high. In order to get rid of the strobe and SOS patterns, I would appreciate it. It is difficult to insert the included lanyard or thread line through the lanyard hole in order to tie a bolt snap due to its small size and sharp edges. For the size and price, I think it is a reasonable light. Only the reach of the beam could be improved.
Each of my three companions had a different flashlight when they were on board. As a result, we quickly realized that the Sea Dragon Mini 900 was the greatest light anyone of us had ever used. In fact, it exceeded that figure by a long shot There were a few of us with 100. The strobe light has three levels of intensity, and it's easy to switch. In order to take one on my next trip, I bought one. Compared to the very expensive ones the dive boat had available, this one held up much better. This is a great book. Lastly, I purchased the batteries separately due to the fact that there are two of them for about the price of one at the Amazon store.
In terms of brightness and ease of operation, this is the best dive light available. Compared to other lights of this size, it gives off a lot of light. It's got a double seal for the battery compartment and doesn't leak if you keep it greased properly (grease is Several of the beams are so big that they do not appear as bright as others. There are some flat lights that focus their light into too small a region to be of any use. The brightness of the globe is good for a bcd pocket, but it is small enough to fit in a pocket. Lights like this are usually half the price of the next brightest ones but this one a third of the price. Amazing This is a highly recommended book.
It is extremely cold in the water and the visibility is very low sometimes due to ice. In addition, I am an instructor for night diving with SCUBA. My experience with this flashlight was both positive and negative. It provided a powerful beam both in saltwater and freshwater. enjoy the smooth, easy toggle through the settings with just one button, even if I wear gloves with 3 or 5 mm thickness. As it is small, it is easy to pack in my luggage when I travel and doesn't take up a lot of space in my travel BC when I am wearing it.
I've heard great things about it from dive masters. Light seems to be fine. Batteries that don't work with the light may cause the light to be inoperative. By using strobe mode, the protective circuit of the battery is disabled. The only way to learn which will work and which will not is to buy them and try them. There was a great deal of success with the Xtar brand.
In my experience, I think the batteries in it last forever, so I think the runtime rating is too conservative. The light has become my trusted edc flashlight, and I'm thrilled to put it to use for lobster hunting this year.
Backup dive lights that are awesome. The beam is narrow enough to be a primary lens, but it is bright enough to be a primary. There are two of them As backup lights, one should be attached to each shoulder strap. An operation that requires only one hand.
There was no point in arguing about it. It was returned so I could get Remind me to do that I want to order, but don't know what to order.
