These are excellent lighting. With the D-, it's a powerful combination. Even with the soft boxes, the Fuse soft boxes are very bright, making them ideal for interviews, YouTube videos, and so on. I was thinking about getting the 660, but I decided to save a little money instead. I have no regrets about my decision. I was able to precisely adjust the color temperature and brightness to match the lighting in the room. Controls within the app are satisfactory. When I need to add color to a shot, I use the hue feature. The build quality is excellent. These appear to be durable enough to be used on a regular basis. The knobs on the controls do not appear to be of low quality. When we arrived, one of the stands had a broken stop. It's a minor annoyance that has no bearing on how the system works. With no questions asked, Neewer customer service sent a replacement. Excellent customer service, and the carry bag is a nice touch. Everything is in place and secure. A little more space would be nice. The only item that appears to be of lower quality is the bag. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.
It has twice the number of LEDs for the same price, and the brightness was far superior, and the RGB was easy to control, either with the dials on the back panel or via Bluetooth on your phone. The quality of the construction is also excellent. Metal barn doors and all-metal construction. After an hour of use, the units do become hot, but this does not appear to have an impact on performance. The stands are sturdy enough, but the adjustment knobs are made of plastic, so I'm concerned about their durability. The included carry bag is of good quality, with enough space to transport three lights, stands, and power adapters.
I set up these lights today and immediately began tinkering with them. First and foremost, the light output is incredible for the panel size; I also like the barn doors, though I'm not sure how useful they'll be in shaping the light, but I'll experiment with them and report back. br>br>The reason I'm writing so quickly is that the app for these lights is HORRIBLE, or perhaps the connectivity is bad, but the lights are constantly dropping. Adding them via bluetooth was simple at first, but sitting 6 feet away from the lights causes them to lose connection frequently. The whole point of getting these lights was to save scene modes and change color and output for specific scenarios without having to go to the light and make adjustments. The app has a one-star rating, which is about right. I tried both bluetooth and wifi to set them up, but the results were the same: "The device could not be connected to. " This repeats itself between all three lights on a regular basis. br>br>The controls on the back are fine, and the color options appear to be endless, though the temperature numbers displayed and the actual light temperatures are not exactly the same. Because the lights are so inexpensive, this isn't a big deal for me. br>br>Overall, since app control was such an important deciding factor, I'd say these disappointed me and fell short of my expectations.
These lights are excellent and meet my requirements perfectly. When it comes to adjustments, I really like how adaptable they are. Each light's color temperature and intensity are completely under my control. The phone app makes it simple to control. I don't use many of the other adjustment options, but they look great. I only use the lights in my studio, so they don't get much wear and tear from setups and takedowns; the stands are plastic, so I'm not sure how well they'd hold up on location; however, the lights themselves are metal and have excellent barn doors. I have no regrets about buying this set of three lights, and I would strongly recommend them.
It's a difficult task. Buy them. These are ideal, and they're incredibly simple to work with. If it could dim even more, that would be fantastic. However, for the price, they are truly remarkable. br>As an executive producer for a production company, I would recommend these.
Light-duty construction. I appreciate how easy it is to adjust the color temperature and brightness. The lights are bright enough for close work but not for video lighting throughout the entire room. Colors that are out of this world People who want to use presets for party lighting might find it appealing to change them. (During the pandemic, please stay away from wild unmasked dancing parties!.
I'm in love with these. The quality, as well as the control I have over my phone, are two of my favorite features. I received these and was able to use them to create content for my client in less than two days, allowing me to recoup the cost of these and more in just one session. They've already covered their costs. I also appreciate the fact that the case doubles as a carrying case. Batteries are sold separately, but I'm going to get them as well so I'm not tethered to the power cord.
I was told it would come in a three-pack, but I only received two. After opening it, I returned it.
