How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Up to 12 pounds of DSLRs can be carried with this compact platform. The option of an extension plate is available.
Extending 3 feet from the fulcrum, it is an adjustable 2 feet long.
An auto-leveling design and heavy duty dual counterweight bars make this a highly versatile piece of furniture.
This is a fully assembled product. There is a smooth and effortless quality to the movements. The crane can be operated from the rear of the camera or mounted on an optional tripod head, so the camera itself is in control.
Uses screws of 1/4" or 3/8" to mount to any tripod head. You can also mount to the ProAm USA Crane Stand to reach heights of up to 9 ft.

Questions & Answers

Do the cameras mounted on the 60 and 50 differ only by the location of the cameras? Could you please tell me which would be most effective?

With the DVC50 you get a vertical counterweight bar that's mounted on the side of the camera. Support for cameras up to 8 lbs is available with the DVC50. With the DVC60, the camera bracket is overslung and the counterweight bar can be either vertical or horizontal. Support for cameras up to 12 pounds is available on the DVC60.

Do we have the option to lock the jib in a particular place?

A locking option is not available in the DVC60. $17 can be spent on a Tilt Brake, which locks the tilt of the crane vertically. While still able to pan right and left, the crane will continue to work as usual.

As it stands, what is the total weight of the jib without any weights or camera. ?

Thanks for stopping by. It is my pleasure to have attracted your attention to There is only a 5 ounce weight limit on the DVC60. A camera, support, or counterweight weighs 8 pounds without any support or counterweight. All in all, it could weigh as much as 20 pounds A crane alone weighs 5 lbs., but a 25 pound crane weighs 25 pounds. A little over eight This information was provided in the hope that it was

What's your name? Is this something you do occasionally? It's all good
3/5

It is true. Remember to keep reminding yourself. The money would be nice, but. I think this is an amazing value for the money. As it is so cheap, there's no reason to complain about it. It's not easy to do, but I will. The one thing I am a pro at is - This jib needed to be modified to fit my needs, and I was expecting that to be the case. Its sheet metal base is too weak, which causes it to flex laterally rather than vertically The right side. This is much easier to handle after I milled a square plate to reinforce it. There is something you have to do here, but you might want to use a stack of fender washers. Neither of the bearings are present, and the bolts are sloppy because of their fit in the drilled holes. After you fix the base, you can get the system to work smoothly if you're careful and move smoothly. It works fine if I'm cautious with my Canon D800 with a heavy lens on the wall. Whenever a jib is required once (once modified), this is a good way to do it. You may not need it if you are not going to use it often. Instead of a Kessler Pocket Jib Traveler, I'd rather have the Kessler Pocket Jib Getting the Kessler is a must if you are a pro. It is possible to make this one work for occasional use. Trying to stay within your budget as a student? Buying this is a good choice because you can sell it and go buy a Kessler at the same time. To be honest, I think I'll finish my project and then do

A little summary This product is worth the price I find that amazing. There is, however, some work to be done.

For the money, this is a great product
5/5

The jib is smooth in vertical movement, and the counterweight is an absolute requirement. Counterweights, which can be obtained at a sporting goods store, are not included. Three of them are used by me. The top part of the camera weighs 5 pounds, and it is almost perfect balanced with my Lumix GH2 attached. Note One thing to keep in mind As the apparatus sways slightly at the end of the fully extended jib arm when the base is extended upwards to the maximum height, there is a bit of a wobble in the apparatus. I don't think it's that big of a deal You can hold the oscillation steady with one hand for a few seconds, then it will dissipate. Before you start shooting, you should be aware that you can experience this swaying at full extension. In spite of the sturdy tripod base, though, the jib does not offer the option to level if you're on uneven ground. However, since it is a tripod, it is easy enough to slip a shim under one of the three legs to help level After having slipped a sneaker off my foot, I noticed the rip in the sole - I picked up a wood stain from the ground and a rock size stone from the ground. It's a really nice piece of gear, especially considering how affordable it is!.

This is an application that is used on stationary devices
5/5

My first attempt at mounting a lightweight camera with a boom was not sturdy and adaptable enough for mounting it in a stationary application. I needed something more sturdy and versatile than a microphone boom stand with a camera mount adapter. I was able to mount a camera for live projection in this manner so the stand was out of the way and the camera was high in the air. Despite being more stable than a mic stand, it is not completely stable (i. e. , for a longer period of time). The small oscillator will oscillate for a few seconds after being bumped). ProAm also offers a separate "Tilt Brake" option. I ordered it from them and used it as well. Although I have not used it as a dynamic motion jib, but it certainly makes a great stationary boom stand. I can't comment on its use as a jib when it's in motion, since I have not tested it in that manner.

You did a fantastic job

The one I own is the best one of the three camera jibs I own. Currently I'm working as a wedding videographer and I like to create motion graphics for my videos.

Featured as a pro or pro-entry The crane I have is a consumer crane at a low price
5/5

The jib crane is a great little crane for the price. With mine, I use it to produce youtube videos and other productions I'm working on, and I'm going to use it in the near future to produce videos. As far as the camera mount is concerned, I like its centered configuration. A cheese extension plate can be obtained from ProAm to provide more options. Because of the way the arms can be positioned in the yoke, you can easily park this crane in various small areas and really throw the camera around without hitting anything because of the way it can be parked. It is configured so that 3 feet of arms extend out one side and a little over a foot extends out the other. As a result, you are much more likely to be able The setup and breakdown of the game are quick and easy.
