Make sure you have a large, clean space where you can work and plan out what each piece will look like before you begin. Although I assembled it by myself, I would have liked help. I had one problem with this product that caused me to have to redo one of the bolt holes. I am under the weight limit with the camera equipment and gimbal that I use, but I am noticing that the Jib looks like it has a bow. As a whole I found this product to work well. I used it to film a concert and the counter balances did not come with it. Mine weighed 105 pounds, so a small balance is required. The weight of the package was charged to me locally, so I did not pay a shipping fee.
It is easy to assemble, and it moves smoothly I am looking forward to getting some good shots for a reasonable price My only wish is that there was a way to connect my pan and my keyboard To add the tilt head joystick and LANC controller to it isn't easy, but I can do it (smile) maybe I can find a way to do it - who knows? It seems that there is no way to fit all the parts of the crane into one bag (though the crane is shipped with three bags, and many parts).
The jib was awesome and cost me a lot less than I expected. Easy to put together, but the pivot point is difficult to reach That section is just joined and I have an awkward 7 in place of it. The section must be transportable at 5' Also, the movement is not the smoothest at times, when it binds at a certain angle. Nonetheless, for the money, this is a difficult choice.
