The cameras have been with me for over a year and I am just now replacing the batteries after running them non-stop for the duration of the year. It gets very cold here in northern New Hampshire, so the cameras are exposed to this. As for my battery, I use Energizer Lithium batteries and I also have a video option. As well as being compatible with rechargeable batteries, I am currently testing one with Eneloop AA rechargeable batteries to see whether they are capable of lasting very long.
It must be connected to your laptop via the USB cable or you will have to take out the SD card and plug it into the A screen on the camera can be used to view pictures and videos. The pictures they take are good as well.
Although I do not know, I just use this at my house to watch deer if I want you can put a lock on it
My apologies for the long response time. The camera is able to be mounted on a tripod as well. My recommendation is to hang it from a tree, as the stable condition is much better than hanging it from a rope. Here is some information I hope will be helpful to

I love how it works. It was a good idea to not spend too much money on these cameras since I would be using them in an area where they were likely to be stolen. Additionally, I have two, much more expensive, name brand cams in a similar (but slightly more secure) area, so I have something to compare it with. Cameras from this brand work just as well as those from other brands. I have been using the same AA battery for over a month now and they are still more than Crystal clear pictures are captured during the daylight hours. It is a little blurry if the target is moving in the night vision pictures. Because it is dark, it is dark. I was wondering what you expected. * One thing to notice It should not be done unless you want to capture thousands of pictures of what must be triggered by motion, such as cells dividing or pollen blowing in the wind. You should set the sensitivity lower than the maximum. It was obvious there had been absolutely NOTHING happening for the first few days from the 14,000 (not exaggerating) pictures I took. Well, I guess. Even though I didn't check all 14,008 pictures, maybe there was something happening but after seven or so thousand pictures of a tree just being a tree (not blowing in the wind), I got tired of it. Overall, I would buy from them again and recommend to anyone who is interested.
In a nutshell, There is nothing more you need to know about trail cams than what you find here. In the menu, there are a lot of options that are simple to configure. I am very satisfied with LCD displays. did not even need to consult the manual to learn how to set up the camera. If you have ever used a game cam before, it will be very intuitive and easy to use. In terms of the value, this camera is a major improvement over my previous Moultrie cameras. It can be used with any AA battery, but I find that Energizer Lithium and Powerowl rechargeable batteries are the best, due to the lithium's long life. The attached videos are available for your viewing. Approximately 25 feet are between the target animal and the observer. I only need the IR to detect things up to about 40 feet, and that's the range I have. You can still see what you are looking at and judge how big something is at that range, but it is hard to count points.
As of now, pictures taken outside the house during the day as well as at night It now has to be put in the woods to see how well it lasts. One thing to note is the use of cheap hinges - the plastic seems to be thin and fragile. My updates will be based on my use of I am fine thus far, but if one breaks, the camera will no longer be usable outside. Moreover, the entire camera shell is not camouflage, the sides and back are a light grey color.
In the winter of last year, I purchased a pair of these cameras. It's a good site with good pictures and easy navigation. However, I use external battery packs for extended field use on my cameras and I have noticed two major issues with these cameras when using external power supplies. I have a 6mm plug for power input. I have always used 8mm connectors on all power and battery packs and cameras that I have ever used. As of now there isn't a batt pack with a 6mm plug available for purchase. My final decision was to purchase an adapter that converts 6mm to 8mm. I might have tolerated that had it not been extra power port goes through the door into the camera so you have to unplug it to open the door, plug it back in to check, service or change SD cards -- then plug it back in, open the door, plug it back in, If you think you're going to be bothered by its high cost and low rate of reliability, this camera is actually not that bad. However, if you plan on using external power packs, this is way too much of a problem to recommend this camera. IMPORTANT UPDATE I Would Not Recommend This Product. Is not waterproof in the least. This spring has been rainy. When I went to retrieve the SD card, I found the camera full of dirty water. I have downgraded it from a 2 to a 1. That was a big disappointment. It was a lot more expensive than it should have been.
I am very satisfied with the pictures and how easy it was to set up the camera. There is no big difference in time, but you can tell what time it is from the camera when a picture is taken, and it tells you the daily temperature. It also has the advantage of a monitor screen, which allows you to preview pictures of what's on the card without having to connect an additional computer. A lot of other cameras lack this feature.
The water resistance may not be as high as you would like. The images are of good quality both during the day and at In both sunny and rainy weather we set up within the woods without any issues. Up to now! We spent the night together last During the night, observe who is visiting the home through the two cameras placed in the backyard. This morning I picked up. As soon as I picked each up, I switched them off. Earlier in the day, it rained heavily. Afterwards, I dried them off with a towel and tried to preview them. The first camera went off without a hitch. As a consequence of the raindrops on the lens, the images were sometimes blurry. It would not turn on the second camera. Just a light blue flash appears on the screen. It is a blank page with no pictures, texts, or anything else. I removed both SD cards to download the The two cards had images on them. I found photos that were captured from last night and when I picked up the camera on the broken.
a period of two days, under factory defaults There was a camera that recorded 15 5sec videos and another camera that captured 5 5sec videos, and both of them had dead batteries in just two With the same batteries, many reviews stated that they got a year of use out of their cameras. I was not delighted with the videos that were recorded since they were jerky and poor I am sending the units back because I am not satisfied with them. It would be great if they would replace the 16 alkaline batteries I threw away.
They are so awesome. My sister gave them to me for Yule and I just love As a rule of thumb, you do NOT want your sensitivity to be set to high or you'll end up taking dozens of pictures of tiny leaves The video is of high quality and the pictures are nice. As you can see, the settings are quite advanced, so you can get exactly what you want (long or short videos, before and after series, or timed pictures and videos). About 20 feet in the dark the vision seems to work clearly, then fades quickly over the next 20 feet.
