Selphy printer with a resolution of 1200 pixels per inch. This paper, I believe, is intended for use in portraits for employee work badges or passports. The papers have a square in the center of the image that will peel away from the backing and become a sticker. In the image I included, you can clearly see the die cut lines. On two sides, there are large tabs that I believe the printer will use to grasp the paper and feed it through the printer. The large tabs could be removed with scissors or a cutter. br>The tabs aren't a problem for me, but the die cut lines might be. Those lines don't bother me; in fact, they are barely visible from a distance. br>And, despite the fact that it isn't mentioned in the instructions, if you're going to use this smaller print paper, you'll also need the cartridge that feeds it into the printer. These smaller papers will not fit in the 4x6 printer holder. You'll require the PCC- The Canon Selphy CP-400 paper cartridge is designed to work with the Canon Selphy CP-400 printer. Printer with a resolution of 1200. br>The print cartridge that actually lays the image on the paper is included with the paper, as shown. There's no way to buy paper for this machine that doesn't include the "ink" cartridge, I'm afraid. The printing material is laid onto a long strip of clear plastic inside the cartridge, similar to how an older IBM typewriter used a plastic strip ink ribbon rather than an actual ink doped cloth ribbon.
I bought this with the intention of printing it out and sticking it in my planner. DON'T EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD IDEA.
1. There is no indication of how many cards should be placed in the card tray.
2. I only put three in because it seemed safe at the time. NOPE, it wasn't. br>I just spent 30 minutes searching the internet for instructions on how to disassemble the Selphy and remove the paper jam. It was a long way up. There was no one who could assist me. I discovered on my own that removing your ink cartridge makes it easier to access the area. I was finally able to remove it after some fiddling with a pair of tweezers and yelling at it to let go of its hold. Then, with trepidation, I replaced my regular ink cartridge and original photo paper, then took a deep breath and turned it back on to see if I had broken it. That took a lot of courage on my part. racking. I wasn't the one who threw it away. Thank God; I'm not going to use this product because I'm afraid it'll jam again, and I don't want to go through that experience again. Thank you, but no thanks. I strongly advise you to avoid this product; I deeply regret making this purchase. It's not a good idea to purchase it.
This was purchased to be used with a Canon SELPHY printer. I have a special smaller tray as well. The first try resulted in a jam. We couldn't get it out, and neither could the Best Buy geek squad, so I had to replace it. Fortunately, I was covered, but it did result in the destruction of a brand-new machine.
It's a little tricky to print correctly, but it's useful in a lot of ways. You'll need to purchase a separate cassette to store these, but once you've figured that out, it prints stickers nicely.
It's perfect and exactly what I was looking for.
The item was delivered on time and in good condition.
When you figure out how to fit the paper into the printer, it works perfectly.
