Livepro L1 and ATEM Mini Pro are two streaming devices you have most likely heard of if you're new to streaming. These are the two that I bought to test. Livepro is half the price of the ATEM Mini Pro, but is about the same price as the ATEM Mini. The Atem mini is not available to me, so I cannot speak for it. First of all, the ATEM and the Livepro basically do These are both very well made and have good heft to them. In both, there are four HDM inputs two mic inputs on the ATEM and one on the Livepro. While the Livepro comes with headphones for monitoring, the ATEM does not. Currently, both share many features, such as swiping and fading. There is Picture in Picture in both cases. It includes a tiny LCD display screen that shows what each of the 4 inputs is, so there is no need for an external display. There is also a 1/4 threaded mount on the right side of the Livepro if you wish to mount it. The USB and network interfaces on each device allow both devices to be connected to computers. There is a difference between Livepro L1 and an average computer program. It is better to do without It is difficult to upgrade the firmware. It offers much more flexibility and function. In other words, the Livepro is an excellent value for basic camera switching functions for zoom meetings and the like. The interface is very user-friendly, has all the features most users would need, and it is a very The instructions are so simple that you don't even need to read them. Additionally, the software does not offer any other features. The ATEM offers much more flexibility than other control systems thanks to its software. There is an audio mixer for you to use. Combining this with a computer gives it a much more sophisticated audio/video interface. There are many more things to learn, but the power is greater. Authoring titles, keying, audio syncing, etc. are all possible. When you buy into the BlackMagic ecosystem, you are really doing so. Everything about the software I am learning is intuitive to me, but I am a bit of a geek because I enjoy learning all the features. Both devices are actually a part of my daily routine. In the ATEM, I have the HDMI output on the Livepro set as my 4th input. It is possible to tap the functions of the ATEM when I want to get fancy. In both cases, there is no switch to turn them on or off. I don't understand.
My uses are actually fine with that. I use it to add Zoom desktop shares into my local HDMI recordings, and in that case I always want my table microphones to be active. There is an interface that is tricky to get familiar with, and I have to do that every time I use it. It is MUCH simpler to operate the simple J5create JVA06 (only two inputs), and there is no need to use the menu system. As well, the Livepro is said to reduce audio level, as opposed to my Roland mixer with 2 ports. When the volume knob is cranked to the highest setting, attenuation is still noticeable. There is not a great deal, but it is My levels can be driven a little hotter going into the Livepro mixer to compensate for some of it, but since my main camera works off our master audio, there are only so many things I can do without clipping it. In the first paragraph I said they are great for the situations I mentioned, but they are not for situations where the main recording's audio will be played through it. It has a very nice feature in that once you get it configured right, you can transition from full screen input to a pre-recorded input just by clicking the control buttons The T bar is all that is shown on the other side of the PIP picture. I believe this is the only mixer to allow you to do this without using a button or slide It is great to be able to just slid back and forth as required, but it takes a little doinking to get it set up correctly. There is a degree of heat generated by it. In addition to this mixer, I use a small fan to cool my Atomos Ninja. There is a new firmware upgrade that addresses the heat issue, but I have yet to install it.
The video feed I use for livestreaming at church is run by this. It serves the purposes for which it was created. Due to a firmware update, I can no longer choose the camera for which sound should be played. It is awesome having an XLR input on one of my cameras. Be sure to do your research before making a purchase. The reason I chose this over the Black Magic Atem Mini was its extra monitor function. The process of setting up my production case was a lot of fun. Livestreaming has now become a paid gig for me.
Easy to use and very convenient. All equipment was plugged in and the recording began. The program was upgraded and everything was connected. Feelworld is committed to providing a positive experience to customers, and they do this very quickly.
" To send it to a local broadcast channel for a 55+ community, I feed it two cameras and one computer. The ability to instantly switch between the inputs allows me to do a fairly "professional" job when doing studio broadcasts. *Compared to the competitors, this unit fits the bill far better in terms of price.
My preferred way to edit game broadcasts is with this. The picture quality is excellent, there is no lag time, and it is
It can get a little warm, but it isn't a big deal.
It's an excellent value switch. Compared to a Roland of $2400, this is a powerful first step to switching to live streaming.
